Head In The Sky

I was praying for a wish that I could not attain

A concept my mind could grasp

But an object my hands could not reach.

I ran for miles chasing dreams

Rubbing the lamp for a Genie,

Because wishing upon a star seemed hopeless

A meteorite dashing through space cannot cure my loss in faith.

Daydreaming drove me insane

I was visualizing a dark fantasy

I'm losing the gift that was given to me when I first

Opened my eyes to the unknown.

Praying for a wish I could not attain

A concept my mind could grasp,

But an object out of reach,

Why didn't anybody ever tell me

My head was always in the sky.
