Abigail finally came with her vintage blue car. She unlocked the car and rolled down the window while she turned her head towards the back giving me the signal to get in.
"Sorry I took a while there. I had a hard time finding the keys and on my way here I was caught in the middle of a horse stampede," said Abigail. She turned on the car and put country music on.
"It's fine," I replied, " I don't know how far away you live from Manor so I didn't expect you at a certain time."
The next stop was going to be Silverglade Village. Steve's Farm was right next to the village so I asked Abigail if we could get off so I could look around. She said sure as long as I came back in less than half an hour.
As I was taking my second step out of the car, I tripped and fell straight to meet the ground. What a wonderful way to start meeting the village.
"Are you okay, Savannah?" asked Abigail. She quickly got off the car and checked on me.
"I'm fine," I replied. "I just got a few scrapes." I felt so embarrassed I didn't know what to say or do. Riders around looked and laughed at me. I quickly stood up and told Abigail that I would just stay in the car and look around from there.
We went around Steve's Farm where I got to see a little arena where many riders hung out. There was a nice stable there next to it. A little further was a silo which Abigail told me a man named Barney owned.
Our next stop would be Moorland Stables. Here was where most beginners hung out. I guess I would be spending some time there. As we got there I noticed it was a small little stable. I also noticed there was some little cheap shops there. I was sure I would buy from there.
Passing Old Jasper's Farm, our next stop would be Fort Pinta. I heard a lot about Fort Pinta, like that they have a disco party every Friday and Saturday. There are ferries there to Jarleheim, Cape West Fishing Village, and South Hoof Peninsula. Also, there is a nice big beach there where you can swim with your horse and lay down to get a tan. I must say Fort Pinta is a really pretty place.
"What is that over there, Abigail," I said pointing to a squared area with colorful flags hung around edges of wood.
"That's the Fort Pinta Championship Arena. Around most stabes there are championships placed nearby the town where riders compete against each other in a race. First, second, and third place winners get rewarded a medal. Although, I wouldn't compete in one without a healthy fast horse. If I were you, I'd wait for you to know how to ride a horse and train it. There was also a championship arena at Moorland and Steve. We passed through it but you must've not seen them," Abigail answered letting me know the basics I needed to know about championships.
I really wanted to be able to win the first place medal one day. I could even imagine a closet full of medals that I won with my best horse. However, then I came back to reality and focused on the tour.
As time went by, we stopped at Firgrove, Valedale, Golden Hills Valley, Cape West Fishing Village, and then Jarleheim. I was really excited to look around Jarleheim. From pictures online, I knew the town was old and rusty but very beautiful. I asked Abigail if I could get off and look around. The town was small and it was surrounded by a wall of stone so there really wasn't a way to get lost in there.
I safely got out of the car without tripping this time. I grabbed my satchel and headed towards the fountain. I took out a penny from my satchel and made a wish. My wish was to make Jorvik a good change in my life, not a bad one.
I walked towards a hair salon called, Salon Belle. I took a peak through the window but I wasn't able to see much but a desk with hair products and a long tall mirror. Walking along further, I caught up to a small shop where I found these really pretty sunglasses. However, they were very expensive so I decided it was better to keep on walking.
I walked up stairs where I saw even more shops and buildings. I saw these cute little animals at a vet place. It was hard not to go and pet them, so I went and played with them for a minute. In a few minutes, I heard a door close and heard footsteps walking towards me. I looked behind me and saw a really interesting guy looking straight into my eyes. He had nice brown hair and definitely wasn't a year over 20.
"Are you the new vet assistant here?" he asked.
"No, I was walking nearby and saw these adorable puppies and it was hard not to come pet them. I'm sorry, do you work here?" I asked with a nervous look on my face.
"Yes I do, and don't worry your not in trouble or anything. My name is Liam," he said putting his hand out towards me.
"I'm Savannah," I said giving him my hand to shake. "I have to go now, ... it was nice meeting you." I really wanted to get out of their. I was so nervous and shy I didn't have a clue what to say. As I walked out of there, I walked back to the car outside of the town where Abigail was waiting for me.
We then finished the tour at Epona. Abigail drove me back to Manor and then left to her book club.
As I got ready for my academy class, I looked for my phone to call my mom. I remembered I had my phone in my satchel. However, my satchel was nowhere to be found. I tried to remember the last time I had it. And then it hit me. I remembered I last had it at the vet place. When I got nervous and ran out, I didn't remember getting my satchel.
There was no way I was going back to that place knowing I embarrassed myself in front of Liam. However, I really needed my phone. For now, I just had to stay focus my academy class starting in a few minutes.
