Northwest High School

The past two days had gone by fast.
We were occupied with dusting and arranging the furniture. Today is Monday , my first day of school. I can't help but feel nervous. I get up and go to the bathroom to take a bath, brush my teeth and fix my hair.

After I come out of the bathroom, I throw my black jeans on and blue tank top with a sweater. I put my blue_black canvas on and see that I look beautiful. I tie my hair in a pony tail and apply some lip gloss on my chapped lips. I use one of my favourite perfume and rush downstairs. "Good morning,mum."

" Good morning, sweetie."my mum answered." Are you ready for school?" my mum shot out. " Yeah,but a little nervous." I said

"Well, don't be, just relax." she is

"You're right." I said. " Go and grab your bag while I prepare your snack." my mum said. "okay mum." and with that , I headed upstairs.

I grabbed my bag and rushed downstairs and she gave me my snack. She took her bag and walked out of the door with me following behind. We took the bus to Northwest High School and we arrived twenty minutes after. The bus stopped two blocks away from the school because it wasn't a school bus.

My mum and I walked to the school. I saw students rushing in and out of the building. It was a very big school. On top of the building, they had written Northwest High School boldly. " Hi,my name is Claire. Are you looking for someone? " came a voice from behind us. I turned and saw a brunette girl with toned skin.

She was stunning. I was studying her features. I snapped out of my daze when I heard my mum ask"Can you direct us to the Principal's office? " " Yeah."answered the girl. She turned to me and asked " Have you been enrolled in this school?" "Yes" I answered. She squealed and said " Welcome, we can be very good friends." This girl was so bubbly and sweet. I smiled at her and she smiled and asked for my name. "My name is Elena Anderson, nice meeting you."

She gave me another smile and led us to the Principal's office. " I'll see you at lunch."she whispered. I nodded at her and went inside the Principal's office with my mum. The Principal who was a woman looked up at us and gave us a smile. "l am Mrs Daniels,welcome to Northwest High School."

"Please take a seat." she said. We smiled at her and occupied the two seats in front of her desk. Her office was very beautiful." So what's your name?" " I am Elena Anderson. " "Okay, Mrs Anderson please sign these papers so that your ward can go to her class ." My mum signed all the papers and Mrs Daniels gave me my schedule for class. My mum thanked Mrs Daniels. She kissed my forehead wishing me good luck and left.

"What class do you have first, Ms Anderson?" "English." I answered.

Let me go with you to introduce you." she said

We headed for the hallway and passed some lockers. We reached a certain blue locker and Mrs Daniels said "Ms Anderson, this is your locker." "Yes, please." I answered.

I approached the locker, opened it and removed some books that I would need for English. Those books must have been provided by the school. After taking the books, Mrs Daniels led me to the English class. Once we entered the classroom all the students stood up and the English Language teacher stopped teaching. "Give me a minute, Mrs Brook." Mrs Daniels said to the teacher. "Sure, madam."

The teacher replied.

"Class let me introduce Elena Anderson to you all." "She is a new student and I expect you all to treat her well." "Yes, Mrs Daniels." chorused the whole class. Mrs Daniels gave me a reassuring smile and left.

"Welcome once again." said Mrs Brook. "Thank you." I replied. She showed me to my seat and I sat.
I could feel eyes burning through me but I refused to turn. I was too nervous. "Hi ,I am Amber" The girl beside me said. " I guess you know my name already." I said ."It's nice to meet you." She said again. "Same here." I said smiling at her.
And that's how my first class started.

The alacrity at which the students rushed out of the class when the bell was rung, showed that the class was extremely boring.
It was lunch time and I had no one to sit with. Then I remembered that Claire was going to meet me there.

As I headed to the cafeteria, I was searching for money in my bag. I wasn't paying attention to the way and I bumped into something very hard. Or at least that is what I thought. I felt something cold spill on my sweater and tank top. I looked down at it and saw that it was soda. I groaned and looked at the culprit. He was the hottest guy ever. His muscles were shooting out of his shirt and I could see his abs through his shirt. He had a sharp jaw and a round nose. He was the perfect description of a Greek God.

"Are you done checking me out ." he said. " I wasn't checking you out and haven't you heard of watching your way when walking." " At least a sorry will do."I said." Wait you bumped into me and you don't have the right to yell at me." he said which made me more furious. "Excuse me Mr, you walked right into me and spilled soda on my sweater and you are telling me is my fault! You really have some nerve!" I yelled at him.

"You know I don't have time to talk to a psychotic bitch!." he said. I gasped at those words. Probably my mouth was on the ground now. This guy was rude and arrogant.
"You really are a spoilt brat!." I muttered." "You know what? just knock it off." he said. He passed by me hitting me in the process.
I was really furious right now.

I turned and saw Claire coming looking between the arrogant boy and I wondering what happened.

She jogged over to me and gasped when she spotted my stained sweater and tank top. "What happened?" she said. "That stupid rude boy happened." I shot out.

"Calm down"she said leading me to what I suppose was her locker. She grabbed a striped top from it and handed it over to me. She showed me to the washroom and I rushed inside to change. A few minutes later, I came out. "Thank you so much, you have saved me." "You are welcome." she said.

"By the way don't mind Jayden. That is the way he is. So rude and arrogant." Claire said. So that was that ass's name. "He thinks he is rich, good looking and famous so he can insult people." Claire continued. "He is really an ass." I stated making Claire giggle. "Now come on, let's go grab something to eat." she said pulling me to the cafeteria.

When we got there Claire ordered for burger and fries but I ordered for Spaghetti. She led me to an empty table and we sat. I scanned the room and saw a group of girls chatting and laughing. They looked classy. I turned and saw a group of boys at the corner of the room. They were chatting and they had girls in their midst touching them.

I spotted Jayden with a red haired girl on his lap and he was kissing her.

I looked away disgusted by the scene. "Those boys over there are the group of boys with good looks, money and fame. They have all the girls drooling and stumbling at their feet." Claire said
That's why Jayden was there.

"They are hot."Claire said. "Claire!"

I shouted. She cleared her throat and apologized. "Hey Claire!" shouted one of the boys from the group. He threw Claire a kiss and all the girls were staring at her with
"I will kill you" eyes. A light blush filled her cheeks. "You are blushing." I said and she was smiling. "So what's his name?" I asked. "Michael" she said blushing even more. "Do you like him" I asked and she nodded saying " Just a crush."

We continued to eat and chat.

Immediately the bell was rung, we all rushed to our various classes.

" I'll see you after school." Claire said. "Yeah " I answered.

Classes were over and I met Claire at the car park. She offered to drive me home and I accepted .Her car was awesome. I imagined her parents were also rich. I arrived at my house after twenty minutes. I thanked Claire . " See ya tomorrow " she yelled on top her voice. "See you too tomorrow, Claire". She smiled at me and with that, she took off. My mum said she was going to look for a job today. She wasn't back so I was home alone. I went to my bedroom and laid on the bed. Within minutes, I slept.
Today was long day.
