Chapter 15

Hey. So...ah Ya!. 

Jack's P.O.V

Right now I am in our room in front of the mirror and frowning. I'm dressed in a Hype Cloud T-shirt and white skinny jeans with a Skye blue hoodie. I dither, not knowing if this was good attire or not. I wish Morgan would have told me where we are going. I grab a pair of black dress shoes. There's a soft knock at the door and Morgan appears in a Light green Polo and black skinny fit jeans. I look him up and down. 'You look great' Morgan says and gives me a quick peck. I want more so I drag him back to me and plant my lips firmly on his. He laughs quietly and we pull apart. Morgan grabs my hand, leading me down to his jeep and we drive out into the country and arrive at high gates with a farm behind them. I gasp. I'm starting to feel right about being overdressed. Morgan texts something on his phone and slowly the gates clang open. We drive up slowly and park outside a stable. Morgan gets out and smiles at my gaping face. He pushes open the stable door to reveal what looks like a million horses. All colours. 'We're going horseriding' Morgan says, stating the obvious. 'Choose your horse and I'll choose mine, then my friend will come and hook us up' He says and I grin. Morgan remembered. I told him ages ago I always wanted to go horseriding. I stride over to a gray horse with a white star on his forehead and Morgan stands beside a midnight black horse with big eyes. 'Nice choices. Neptune and Solomon are trusty companions' A voice says. I look over to see a slim, small woman with purple cropped hair. 'The name's Olivia' She says with a wink when she sees me staring. 'Let's get you kitted out' She saysm and hands us hard hats, big woolen jumpers and polished boots. She nods approvingly. She hooks up the two horses and nods. 'Have fun and be back by 8' She says, laughing. Morgan laughs too and effortlessly mounts Solomon. I, on the other hand have a spot of trouble. I try and mount Neptune, slip a little and struggle to hook over my leg. Eventually I get up and Morgan motions for me to take the lead. I start leading Neptune out a little stone winding path, leading to a lake. The water is clear and glistening and I can see little bright orange fish swimming in the depths. The horses take a drink, with a rope tieing them to a gate so they don't get away. Morgan brings out a wicker basket. 'Picnic time' He announces. I realise I'm starving, having not eaten since yesterday. In the basket is a caramelized onion quiche with cheddar and bacon, crackers with spiced pepper and peach chutney, tiny plates of chicken and mango salad, blueberry and oat squares, crunch chicken wings and raspberry and mint ice tea. We eat until there is not much left, a crumb of wing and a few mint leaves. I'm so jealous Morgan is such a good cook. I'm okay but Morgan's much better. We have a quick nap and then get back on the horses, walking slowly across a meadow next to the field. I want to take it slow but Neptune has other ideas and breaks into a canter. I take a deep breath and clutch at him, terrified but at the same time I've never ever felt so alive in my life. I can see Morgan cantering behind me and I take another deep breath, relaxing and wanting to stay in that moment forever. I'm disappointed when we have to take the horses back to the stable. We get back too Olivia and dismount and she takes their reins and leads them back to their stables, shutting the gates securely. We change out of the gear and hand them to her. Once we get in the car and drive out the gates, I look back at the gates clanging closed and I realise what I wanted to do when I finish college. I wanted to work in the stable. When we get in I drag Morgan to our room and smash my lips to his. 'Thank you for the best date ever' I whisper and he smashes his lips back to mine. God how I love my brother.
