Morgan's P.O.V
Right now I'm sitting in the chapel in the middle of my 'father's' funeral. Mum insisted in kitting us out in black. Everyone of our relatives are here. My sister Mindy had to get leave from being a nursery maid, Irene had to leave America and Carly is back for a week's holidays from her 5 star restaurant. They're all here with their husbands and kids, my nephews Adam and Chris (Mindy's kids) and my nieces Rachael, Kate (Carly's kids), Garnet, Lilith, Kamryn and Nina (Irene's kids). All my aunts and uncles on my dad side were there and my Mum's one sister, our one aunt on her side, Teagan was there. My granny June and My grandpa Joe from my Mum's side were there. Dad's parents were dead. Mum didn't want to be too frivolous with the funeral so it was in the local chapel, her friend Fr. Montgomery gave the ceremony and the burial in the graveyard then a short get-together at the house afterwards. Father is in a simple wooden coffin, in his best suit and his shoes polished. I sit still throughout the whole thing and then suddenly everyone is standing as Dad's brothers carry out the coffin, the priest following and then us. Mum's eyes don't stop watering though I've no idea why. We follow it out to the graveyard and when the coffin goes down into the soil, we scattered purple and white pansies because Dad always said he loved them. We all stumble out to the house and sit around awkwardly. Finger sandwiches, sausage rolls and nibbles are passed out but noone touches them. Everyone sips tea and chats quietly about anything that comes to mind. Weather, Cleaning, Parties. Anything at all. I think I even heard the seasons changing being brought into topic. I make any excuse to get out of there. I offer time after time to make tea and Jack does the same. We steal secret kisses every now and then and give each other sexy looks the whole time. Everyone offers their condolences and we thank them. At the end of the day I couldn't possibly be more happy to end such an awkward day.
Hi. I'm sorry this was such a short chapter but it was really awkward but I actually think that this chapter sucked. I wanted to get it over with. Now onto the good stuff. Follow, Vote and Comment!.
