"Duck, come on baby, time to go!"

Katjaa's voice was almost lost in the whirl of noise and activity in the drugstore. Carley reloaded her pistol with ammunition from her bag, as Kenny dashed past.

"I'm gonna get the truck pulled up 'round back," he informed the group.

"Do it fast," responded Lilly. "I've got to get my dad out of here."

"I don't plan on dilly-dallying." He turned to his wife. "Honey, take Duck into the office and barricade the living hell out of the door behind me. Glenn, when you hear me honking in the alley, start getting people out of here."

"You got it."

"Doug, Carley and Lee, you make sure our defenses stay up 'til then. And Lee, I better take that axe, in case I run into any of them on the way to my truck."

Lee tossed him the axe.

"Guys, that door's not locked anymore!" came a cry from over by the doors.

"Shit," said Kenny. "You three get on it! I'll be back as fast as I can!"

Kenny sprinted from the room as Doug, Carley and Glenn raced forwards to push the doors closed as walkers crowded on the other side. They were the only things stopping the walkers from overrunning the drugstore.

Sarah was beginning to panic. "Lee, I'm scared!"

"It's gonna be fine. Just stay away from the windows." Lee wished that he could comfort her further, but the first thing in order was getting all of them out alive.

Glenn was helping Doug and Carley barricade the door closed, only to have Katjaa yell out for help. He ran off, and Lee took his place at the door. A walker busting its hand through the glass caused Sarah to let out a scream from where she was standing.

Lee suddenly remembered his father's cane, which he immediately got from his pocket and jammed through the door handles. It helped a little bit, but that didn't stop the walkers from putting more effort on getting inside.

"Shit, there are more over there!" Doug cried, referring to the walkers by the now-busted window.

"Go, hurry!" Lee ordered.

Doug dashed off towards the window, leaving Carley and Lee to struggle against the doors. Sarah cowered in the middle of the drugstore, looking frantically around the room.

"Lee!" yelled Sarah. "There are more coming in here!"

She waved her hands towards the other window on the opposite end of the room from Doug. This window was much closer to the doors, so Lee knew they needed to act quickly before they overran he and Carley.

"We need to do something quickly!" cried Lee.

"I'm on it," responded Carley confidently.

However, she stopped halfway to the window.

"I just remembered! Glenn told me he came up with a plan in case the walkers got in!"

Carley grabbed hold of a nearby rack of shelves. They were so empty that it was easy for her to drag them across to the window and topple them against it, blocking the walkers access.

"Nice one," said Lee.

Then he heard Doug scream from across the room.

Heads whipped around to find Doug being trapped against the wall thanks to a few walkers. Lee and Carley sprang into action immediately, the latter getting out her gun just in case. However, there was no ammo.

"Sarah! Ammo, in my purse!" Carley yelled.

Sarah, who luckily was aware of her surroundings, nodded and threw Carley her purse. The woman caught it and shot at the walkers who were now beginning to enter the store. Lee grabbed Doug and successfully pulled him out.

"Thanks," Doug said.

"We need to get out of here!" Lee yelled. Everyone ran towards the door, but somebody placed a large hand on his chest, preventing him from running with the others. It was Larry who was glaring at him, and next thing Lee knew, a sharp pain to his face had sent him to the ground. He heard someone scream.

Luck seemed to be on his side, though, when Kenny came rushing back in. He killed the walker that was getting ready to feast onto Lee and helped the other man up.

"I'm not letting someone else get eaten today. Especially a good friend."

The two men ran out of the drugstore, weapons in hand, to find out one problem: The truck still had no gas.
