"Don't worry she will be fine", Jane said as soon as she heard what had happened before she reached Alaska.

David was sitting on a couch, head in his hands without any hope.

"No she won't be", he said miserably. "You have no idea what she is capable of."

"How can you be so sure it was Venus who has kidnapped Winter?" Neon asked.

"Who else will kidnap her!" David shouted angrily as he stood up.

"She never had any enemies", he said and walked inside his room, closing the door.

"Serves him right", Jane said with a wry smile.

"No don't say that Jane".

"Why not! Have you already forgotten what we had to go through for the past five years?"

"No Jane but I don't think its right to enjoy while he is lamenting over his fiance. What is the difference between him and us then?" Neon said.

"Don't forget I broke up with Todd bro", she said as her voice broke down.

"I am sorry about that Jane. Everything happened only because of me", he said guiltily.

"No it happened because of me and Todd", she sobbed. "I wish we had never met before."

"Please don't cry Jane", Neon comforted her. She gave a short smile.

"Now update me with everything that has happened here since the day I left", Jane said excitedly.

"Not much. Only I got Venus's password after working hard for almost a week but all went in vain because of the whole kidnap thing", he said.

"Any idea what can possibly be Venus's motive?" Jane asked.

He thought for a while.

"I don't know Jane".

"You think David's past has something to do with all this?" Jane asked suddenly.

"Can be. I can't tell for sure though. He talks very less about her", he said.

"Okay let's suppose they knew each other personally. What can be her motive then?"

"Umm jealousy I guess", Neon said.

"Jealousy?" she said, confused.

"Oh come on Jane! Both of us know how powerful he is".

"Yeah that might be true", Jane agreed.

"Okay enough of David. Now you tell me what were you doing so long in London?"

Jane briefly updated him about the package and the strange emails and her stay in Paris.

"Hmm sounds weird", he said once she was done.

"Yeah like totally. Can you imagine anyone dissapearing like that into thin air?"

"Impossible if she is a human. She didn't have any bracelet right?" Neon enquired.

"No. Also I met her parents and they seemed pretty normal", she added.

"Well then let's investigate the matter. I don't think David would be of much help right now though."

"Yeah. So can you open her computer again..you know since you know her password".

"I don't know Jane. I'm guessing she already knows we had hacked into her computer. This gives her another motive for kidnapping Winter", he said and both of them went upstairs.
