The rain dripped down the windowpane as I was waiting on the road, caught up in a nasty traffic. The chauffeur had tried every way possible to somehow go past it but in vain! It's better to do everything before time my mom often used to say. You never know what's waiting in future. Now I realize why she used to say that after facing a similar situation.
"Are they planning to keep us waiting the whole day her!" I retorted.
"I don't know," he said with a face of apology."Okay but there must be some other way to reach the airport!"
"I'm afraid there isn't miss," he said with a sigh".
After almost 45 minutes the road was clear and I heaved a sigh. I was trying to register as much as possible in my little brain before I left my country.
I reached the airport just in time to catch my plane. It's not like I've never been on a plane. In the past I have been on many foreign trips with my family. I knew everything but this time the only difference was that I was going alone for the first time in my life.
I made my way inside, after pushing a whole lot of people. Seriously, was it indeed my bad luck that the plane was so much crowded on that day only! Unable to locate my seat I asked one of the pretty looking air-hostesses. She looked at my ticket and immediately started looking for it. Suddenly she came back and with a surprised look on her face said, "Sorry miss but I think you have boarded the wrong plane. Seat no. 13 is already occupied".
I immediately rechecked my boarding pass. It was perfectly alright!
"Hey but this is Kingfisher Airways only!" I asked nervously. "Just have a look at my pass. I'm pretty sure it's the right one!"
"Sorry but the seat is already booked", she said and went away in a hurry. Now I was absolutely irritated. What kind of a stupid joke is this!
"Please put on your seat belts. The plane is about to leave in 2 minutes", the commander said.
I made my way through the resolute, dense crowd and finally reached seat no. 13. A very tall, young man was sitting. He was wearing black-baggy jeans, a blue sweater and black shoes. He was busy with his mobile phone. By looking at him anyone can tell that he was rich.
"Excuse me, why are you standing here and looking at me like that? Don't you think it's a good idea to go back to your seat and put on your seat-belt?" he said as he noticed me standing there. He looked at me with his intense, crystal blue eyes. They were like an endless blue sea..
"Well I'm sorry but you are sitting in my place", I replied, a bit irritated and embarrassed as well.
"Really", he said, raising his left eyebrow. I immediately showed him my ticket. He gave a quick glance and smirked.
"Yeah that's true", he said and suddenly started laughing like crazy. I seriously didn't get him!
"What's there to laugh?" I asked him, raising my voice a bit. I was already in a bad mood and if he didn't stop behaving like an idiot I'll definitely burst out and he will be sorry for that.
Instead, he gave a sly smile and said, "I didn't know kids too have temper".
I just stared at him. What an audacity this young man has got!
"Alright, come here. You can sit on my lap", he said and patted his thighs.
"Shut up!" I shouted this time but my voice was drowned amidst the utter confusion that others were facing in the flight. I wish it was louder because next moment this stranger just snatched the pass off my fingers unexpectedly and tore it into zillion pieces. It no longer existed!
