A Friend Like You

It is damn cold out here

But not as much as deep inside my poor heart.

There is no warmth but the frozen memoirs of our friendship.

Your terrible silence annoys me like a gloomy sky.

Where are those hilarious words of yours?

Your glow less eyes scare me like the new moon.

Where is that compassionate look of yours?

It is dreadful darkness out here

But not as much as in my miserable eyes.

There is no light but the fading moments of our friendship.

Your tightened lips torture me like the harsh winter.

Where is that spontaneous smile of yours?

Your negligence kills me like a slow poison.

Where is that soothing touch of yours?

An enemy can only wound my body

But a friend like you wounds my soul.

My friend, can you not feel my agony?

Huh! Who needs an enemy when there is a friend like you?
