(I really like the gif at the top XD I made it btw, I know it doesn't really look good)
"Let me just grab him and compel him to tell the truth," I whisper as I eyes Garrett, sitting down beside Scott and Kira who were sat on the bench.
"Yeah, shouldn't we just do something now?" Kira asked Scott.
"I mean, we can't. We're still not really sure if it's really him. And if we're wrong, then the real assassin gets away," Scott replied.
"That's why I say, we grab him, pull him somewhere else and I get him to tell the truth," I keep my eyes focused on Garrett, watching his every move.
"We can't take any risks. If this guy is a professional assassin, we don't know what he knows about you. He could have- what's that stuff called? Vervain?" Scott stopped mid-sentence to ask me a question.
I nodded and he continued, "Yeah. He could have vervain on him, then you can't compel him and we'd never know."
"Fine, but I'm not risking anyone dying tonight. If I think anything looks suspicious, I'm going after him."
"Hollis!" Finstock yelled really loudly and blew his whistle. "Unless you're on the team, off the bench!"
I rolled my eyes and stood up. I motioned to him that I was off and he blew his whistle again.
"Away from the field and in the stands!" I took a deep breath and walked right up to him.
"I can do what I want," I compelled. He was getting on my last nerves.
I then walked back over and sat beside Scott.
"Was that necessary?" Scott asked.
"I can see everyone better from the bench. Better to see if someone has a hidden blade in their stick." I whispered/yelled.
"Hey, dad, you're supposed to be here. Where the hell are you?"
The three of us turned around to see Stiles approach us while he talked on the phone. He threw his gear onto the ground dramatically. He hung up the phone and sat down beside me.
"Is you're dad coming?" I asked him.
"Yeah, he said he's leaving the station," He sighed. I could tell by the look on his face he wasn't to happy.
"Hey," I said getting his attention. When he turned his head towards me I placed a kiss on his lips. "Everything is going to be okay."
His face lightened up and his frown was replaced with a smile. He leaned in and kiss me back.
"I'm excited!" I said cheerfully, earning a confused look from him. "Ya know, besides the fact that there could be a killer on the field trying to kill our friends, I get to see you play for the first time!"
"It's just a scrimmage-"
"Doesn't matter, it's still my first time watching you play." I smiled and kissed him on the cheek.
"Let's go!" Coach blew his whistle. "Asses on the field!"
Stiles gave me a wink before putting his helmet on and running onto the field. I cheered and clap to lighten up the mood. I know that everyone is nervous about Garrett, but I'm not going to let anyone get hurt.
The referee blew his whistle, signalling for all of the starting players to take the field. Only a couple minutes into the game, Brett scored the first goal for Devenford. There was a collective groan from the Beacon Hills side, but I could care less right now about the outcome of the game.
