Chapter 15

Danny's POV (in his coma)

There's a bright white light.

Am I dead?

No, I don't think so...

Probably not.

Glen is there, talking to me.

I hear the word "coma" so I guess I drank so much I'm now in a coma, good one Dan...

But then I hear Glen say three beautiful words, "I love you"

I'm surely dreaming, but they sound so real.

I try to run to him but I go nowhere.

I'm trapped in this coma shouting "I LOVE YOU TOO GLEN"

But, it's as if he is ignoring me.

I'm probably just not reaching life.

I run and run but then Glen disappears.

There's a sudden black out and my head is in pain, I see her, I see Jessie.

She's standing there smiling at me.

Then I see her and Glen kissing.

See, he loves her!

I must be in some sort of dream you have when in a coma.

I run away from the scene and I'm back in the pub.

This time I don't drink the beer, I stare at it for a while then Glen comes rushing into the door.

"STOP DANNY! I LOVE YOU!"

I must have some sort of brain damage, thinking of something that is impossible.

Then I hear some voices.

"He's in a coma, we don't know for how long but he needs you by his side now"

I have no idea who this voice is but I try to shout at them, "I AM OKAY SEE! I AM FINE"

They can't hear me.

Mark, I can hear Mark now...

"Hey Dan, the nurse said you can probably hear this and I should talk to you and keep you company"

I hope this is real and not just a dream.

"I should have helped you, told you the truth as soon as I knew"

What's he going on about now?

"Glen does love you Danny, Jessie has been hurting him not loving him, he just wants you! So you need to recover quickly for his sake, he's heartbroken Danny and I blame myself for not telling you his true feelings"

Yep, just a stupid dream... this is what I want to hear and it's impossible so it must just be my thoughts running through my head.

"I was thinking of bringing you some music so you're not bored, could you make a sign that you want some?"

I try to say yes, it comes out as a small sigh.

"I take that as a yes then"

I hear him leaving, now I am all alone again.
