"My lady," Chat greeted, taking Ladybug's hand and kissing it in his usual manner. She sighed, but her knew it wasn't directed at him. Sitting down with her legs dangling off the Eiffel Tower, she seemed more tired than usual.
"Are you alright, Bugaboo?" He asked, sitting beside her.
"I...I don't want to talk about it," she replied softly, leaning into him. He snaked an arm around her shoulder, pulling her close.
"I take it we aren't patrolling tonight?" He asked, rubbing circles on her.
"No, you should still, I'll just wait here for you to get back."
"Pfft, as if I'd leave you here alone, Buginette," he scoffed, looking at her.
"But-"
"No buts." She looked at him with her big bluebell eyes, making his heart flutter in his chest. He smiled warmly at her, and leaned close. "Wanna know a secret?"
"This is gonna be good," she sighed, some of her regular personality shining through.
"I think that even if an akuma was to attack, we'd still be able to see it from up here. If that puts your mind at ease," he offered. Ladybug smiled back at him.
"Thank you," she replied as they both turned their gazes outwards, watching over their city.
"Hey Chat." Ladybug was the one to break the silence first.
"Yes, my lady?"
"Wanna know a secret?" She asked, giving him a sidelong glance.
"Sure!" He chirpe, turning to face her.
"Lean closer, it's a very secret secret," the blue haired girl said playfully. Eagerly going along with her request, he leaned close- only to feel a pair of lips press against his check.
"Thank you Chaton," she whispered, pulling away to snuggle into his side. Softly smiling with a slight tint on his face, Chat rested his head on hers, his arm bringing her as close to him as she allowed.
"Anytime, Bugaboo," he replied, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "Anytime."
