matt's pov

it's only day four of the trip and i already pissed off kayana.

i looked to my side to see kay cuddled up to it.

someone knocked on our bedroom door, "can i come in?" ky whispered.

i got up off the bed quietly, trying my best not to wake up kay and opened the door.

i opened the door and told ky to be quiet, and walked down the stairs.

"she's asleep, i don't want to wake her up." i told her.

"you guys were supposed to have a great first date! why was she crying?" ky asked. i sighed.

"at the diner, she told me how she liked me, like a lot." i smiled, looking down. "i told her the same, but that i didn't want to jump into a relationship just yet, because of everything that just went on." i explained.

"what has been going on?" ky asked.

shit i forgot that we never told her about emily. "um, you know that baby that was all over the news?" i asked her.

she nodded. "that's my daughter." i choked out.

ky's eyes widened. "i'm so sorry matt." she said, putting her hand on my shoulder in a reassuring way.

"it's okay." i looked back up. "but with her and andrew and all of that stuff, i don't want to jump into a relationship right away."

"and then in the car i told her not be mad and that i was happy, and she explained that she wasn't and was scared that she would waste her time." i sighed.

"then in the house i laid beside her and talked to her. and she was saying how she was scared i'd get with someone else and then i promised her i would get with her, not anyone else. and she wasn't answering, i called her childish and said something like the world doesn't revolve around her." i said while putting my head in my hands.

"andrew always said that, but anyways, i'm not saying it's your fault, but i get where she's coming from, but then you want to wait. you guys will have to forgive this one out yourselves." she explained to me. i shifted around on the couch.

"what do you mean 'quoted' andrew." i said, emphasizing quoted.

"well andrew would say that all the time they got into arguments and fights." ky sighed.

"now i feel like such a dick." i also sighed.

"okay, well i'm gonna go back upstairs and take a shower." i told her, walking towards the stairs.

she nodded before i turned.

i got up the stairs and started the shower.

we planned on going to a different beach for the start of today.

everyone was ready and dressed.

"when is your car going to get here?" kay asked ky.

"should be here tomorrow or the day after that." she said.

we piled in the rental car, i made sure to sit next to kay.
