Angelina's POV

Well, I guess I'm going to that opening party. I dialed Juliette's number. "Hey," I answered when she picked up, "it's Angie I think I'm going to need you to watch Quinn for me for two hours tonight."

"Alright," she replied, "but there better be cookies for me when I get there."

"Okay, thanks. Just be here at 8," I told her and hung up. Juliette was the only one of my old friends who trusted me when Nathaniel left me for Rachel.

"Bedtime's at 9. Cookies are on the table. I have some movies in my room. We'll be back soon," I informed Juliette as I left the house. We arrived at the party and stepped out to a crowd. There was a long line formed outside the club. Janice and I looked at each other. As we were about to walk up to the end of the line, someone called out to me. We turned around to see Michael running towards us.

"I was waiting for you guys," he said, "let's go in." When we walked in, the place was crowded. The music being blasted out of the speakers and the strobe lights were hurting my eyes and head. I never really liked crowds. Janice noticed my discomfort and came to closer to my side.

"Are you alright?" she screamed over the music. I nodded.

"Hey, Angie, would it be alright if we leave for a few minutes? I want to show Janice around the place," Michael pleaded with his eyes.

"Okay, fine," i sighed, "but I'm probably going to leave soon, so make sure you get her home safe. And please don't give her alcohol." Janice rolled her eyes. They left and I made my way over to the bar. the bartender turned around.

"Lucas?" I looked at him.

"Angie? why are you—Are you alright? Is your head hurting bad? I know you hate crowds and strobe lights and loud music—" I cut him off by laughing. "Why? What's so funny?" He gasped, "Angie, I think the crowd and strobe lights and loud music may have driven you crazy."

"There's the Lucas I know and love," I replied. I hugged him. "I'm so sorry. You're my best friend and I love you more than anyone in the world, except for Quinn. I trust you Lucas. I know how much it hurts to know that your parents hate you and I understand how it feels to be wanted by them. I understand you, yet I acted the way I had. I was just upset that you would hide the truth from me, but if I were in your shoes I probably would've done that same thing. Thank you for being my best friend. And I get it if you're still mad at me," I started to cry.

"Woah, Angie, chill. Like you said, we're best friends," he shrugged. "I'm not mad at you and, if anything, I should be sorry, not you. I chose to keep the truth from you to be with my family, when my real family has always been with me. You, Quinn, and Ginny (you'll find out more about her further along the story) are my only family. I love you more than anyone in the world, except for Quinn." I pulled him into another tight hug.

"Thank you," I said crying into his shoulder. He patted my head, something he always did for me whenever I cried. "But why are you working as a bartender for Mike," I suddenly wondered.

"Long story," he replied, "But did you know that he liked Janice?"

"How did you know?" I asked, "Did he tell you?"

"Nope, but he opened a freaking club just to get a reason to see Janice," he laughed. My eyes widened.

"Well, that's romantic," I grinned. Luke smile at me, then something seemed to catch his eyes behind me. "Luke?"
