Nathaniel's POV

I stormed out of the house. I contemplated on jumping on a plane and heading to Italy, but that would probably make Angelina hate me more. She deserved better than me. I was human trash. I don't deserve an angel. I threw away the chance I had with my angel. As I drove around with no destination, I realized I had nowhere to go. I wasn't going to go back to Rachel, and I didn't want to go to my parents house. I decided to go to my sister's house and spend a few nights there.
My sister was the only one who stood up for Angelina. If only I had listened to her. After I kicked Angelina out of my house, my once close relationship with my sister was no more. We still talked, but it just wasn't the same.
I rang the doorbell twice. I heard my sister yell "Coming!" as she neared the door. She pulled the door open widely, but when she saw my face she narrowed the opening and covered the rest with her body as if she was hiding something.
     "Hey," I said awkwardly.
"Um, hi," she said just as awkwardly.
"How've you been?" I asked trying to erase the awkwardness.
"I doubt you came all the way here to ask how I've been," she replied.
"I need a place to stay," I sighed.
"Oh. Now's really not a good time," she said glancing behind her.
"I'll just stay one night," I pleaded. Then a big crash echoed in the house. She turned away from me and ran inside. I ran in behind her. She ran into the kitchen with me right on her heels. I was confused at what I was seeing. Then angry. My daughter, Quinn, was sitting on the kitchen island. A glass bowl was on the floor, broken into pieces.
"Daddy!" Quinn squealed happily. I picked Quinn off the table.
"Juliette, why do you have my daughter?" I asked.
"Because I'm supposed to be watching her for three days," she replied. She snatched Quinn from me and sat her down on a dining room chair. Then she began to clean up the glass bowl.
     "Why?" I asked.
"Because she asked me too," she said nonchalantly.
     "You knew?"
"I was the one who helped her when she was pregnant."
"And you didn't think to tell me?" I shouted at her. She cut her finger on one of the broken glass pieces and blood formed quickly from her cut.
"Tell me one reason why I needed to tell you. You're the one who kicked Angie out to the streets! You're the one who shoved divorce papers into Angie's face! You're the one who gave up the chance of being a father!" Juliette spat with such hatred that I almost forgot she was my sister. I flinched back. She picked up the last pieces of glass shards and threw them in the trash.  She grabbed the broom and swept the small glass pieces into the dustpan. After she was done cleaning, she picked Quinn off the chair. Quinn had fallen asleep.
"Can I?" I asked holding my hands out. Juliette took a step back. "Please. Let me be a dad. At least for today." She looked at me and hesitantly put Quinn into my outstretched hands. I hugged my daughter against me, taking in her baby scent mixed with the scent of her mother. "I love you baby girl," I whispered, "I'm so sorry." I kissed the side of her head.
"Her room is upstairs, second door on the left," Juliette said and she disappeared into her room. I carefully carried my baby up the stairs. I placed her on her large pink fluffy princess bed and tucked her in. I kissed her on her forehead and turned the lamp off.
     "Daddy?" She called.
     "Yes, baby girl," I answered.
"I missed you. Don't leave me," she said sitting up. I walked back over to her bed.
"I won't leave you, baby girl," I said.
"Can you sleep with me? Mommy sleeps with me, but mommy not here," she looked at me.
"Okay, baby girl. I'll sleep with you today," I felt so happy. She scooted the side and I laid in bed next to her. She wrapped her tiny arms around me.
"I love you daddy. And mommy too," she said smiling.
"I love you too, baby girl. You, and mommy too," tears were running down my face. I loved these Angels with all my heart. I hugged Quinn closer to me. After a while, her breathing evened meaning she fell asleep. "I love you, Quinn. If I hadn't made those horrible decisions, I would be lying in bed everyday with you and your mother. I would've been there for you from the start. For Angelina too. I would've spoiled both of you. I want both of you to be happy. If you're happy then I'm happy. Even if it means that I won't be apart of your lives. I don't want you hurting anymore because of me. I want you to smile and laugh without any sadness or pain in your lives. I love both of you. I love you Angels. I love you Angels," I said as I fell asleep.
