There's a knock on my door. One that echoes through the whole house. For a second I believe that it's Freddie, but know I realize that Freddie is at his first day of work.

I slowly get up from the couch, and I drag my feet across the floor, to the side door, the one that leads into the kitchen.

I unlock the door, and swing it open only to reveal one of the most prettiest girls I have ever seen.

She has long blonde hair, and the most perfect brown eyes that right now, while looking over me , show disgust and unhappiness.

"Yes ?" I ask. She places her hands on her hips.

"Freddie called me. Told me that you needed my help." She steps around me, drops her bag on the floor and heads for the stairs. My jaw drops and I slam the door.

"I'm guessing you're in Matt's old room ?" She asks, gracefully walking up the stairs.

"Um yes. Can I ask you, who the fuck you are ?" She stops halfway up the stairs and stares at me, from the railing.

"I am Matt's ex-girlfriend, and one of Freddie's very good friends." She makes it up the stairs and then yells down them to me.

"Are you coming up or what ? I don't have all day." I sigh heavily and trudge up the stairs.

Thank god my dad is out to lunch with his mystery girl.

I step into my room and she's already looking through my clothes with disgust.

"So can you at least tell me your name..."

"Lucy." She says without looking away from my closet.

I notice then that the bag that she brought is actually a folded dress bag. And now it is sitting unfolded on my bed and I can already see slightly that she has brought over ten dresses.

"I'm Emerson. Thanks for helping."

She nods softly.

"First things first. When did you last shower ?" At this she turns around, places her hands on her hips and cocks her head to the side.

I look at her slightly dumbfounded but answer anyways. "Last night."

"Well, go shower again. Now." She throws me my towel. I catch it with one hand and stare at her.

"Seriously go. I can't do anything with your hair if it's not freshly washed." I sigh heavily and roll my head back while walking out towards the shower.

I step out of the shower to the sound of blasting music. Music I don't recognize. I walk back to my room, my towel wrapped tightly around my body and then push the door open to reveal, dresses hanging everywhere, makeup spread out everywhere on my vanity and a hair straighter and curler plugged in by my desk.

"Finally. She pulls out her blow hair dryer and plugs it in to the outlet near my bed then orders me to sit down.

I do as I'm told and she immediately starts to blow my hair.

"So, Freddie told me that Hunter asked you to the banquet." She says quite loudly, so that I can hear over the sound of the blow dryer.

"Um. Yeah. He asked me to go as his friend though so, "

"Well Freddie seems convinced it's otherwise, and from what I caught over the phone, he seemed pretty upset about it"
