I folded my arms across my chest and watched as Anthony took the microphone from the DJ. I clapped a few times, then leaned back in my chair. Joven held up a camera to record him, but I focused my attention on the stage.

Anthony didn't sound great, but at some points I could hear potential in his voice. He cracked high notes and struggled for air support, but singing Adele can be considered difficult.

I clapped for him as he finished. He strut off of the stage and I stood up as he approached me, "How did I do?" He asked me with a big smile on his lips.

"Great," I told him unenthusiastically and noticed the long haired boy and Stephanie running towards the stage.

"You did better, of course," he told me with a smile and pressed his lips against mine for a moment before sitting down and pulling me into his lap, "Your smile is gorgeous." He said to me and I flashed him a toothless smile. He pressed his lips against my cheek. I felt heat rising in me. It was a new, different feeling that I had never felt. I awkwardly smirked and wrapped my arm around his back as I lenses my head against his.

Ian walked into the doors and approached the area we sat in. He sat beside Joven and avoided looking in our direction, "You look beautiful," Anthony told me quietly and kissed my jawline as I ran my fingers through his hair.

"Jade," I heard someone call and glanced to my right to see Noah motion for me. I hopped to my feet and moved towards him, "Tomorrow morning, would you want to go get coffee before you come record on my show?"

"Sure," I told him and he smiled brightly

"Are you and Anthony going to be on Seriously Super Stupid Sleepover?" He asked me, stumbling over the words. I shrugged my shoulders, "That should be fun," I told her, "Are you going to be joining us for Smosh Summer Games in a few weeks?"

"I have no idea," I told him and noticed Ian's head turn to look at us, "I haven't heard anything about it."

I sat across from him and he explained the details about the camping trip and tradition of Smosh Summer Games, "So, do you think you're going to come?"

"She isn't coming with us," both of us turned to look at Ian as he sat at the table beside us, "She isn't part of Smosh."

"Yes, I am," I told him with a smirk pulling at my lips.

"I fired you."

"Anthony hired me," I narrowed my eyes at him and his eyes fell.

"Well, I'm firing you again," he said loudly and all attention was placed on us.

"Ian, stop it!" Noah shouted, bouncing to his feet and facing him, "Why are you acting like this?"

"Ian!" I heard Anthony shout from a few tables over and pushed myself to my feet. I placed my hand firmly on Anthony's chest as he stepped towards us, "Sunny hired her," he said roughly to his friend, "Sunny sees her potential, why can't you give her a chance? No matter how many times you try to fire her, I will keep hiring her. You won't win this, so let it go and get over yourself."

His hand wrapped around my waist and I glared down at Ian as he pulled me against him. I turned to look at Noah, "I think I will join you for Smosh Summer Games, Noah. Since I am part of the Smosh squad now." He smiled brightly and gave me a thumbs up as I began to smile.

"Stop acting like you know my life better than I do," Anthony snapped at him, "Let me make my own decisions."

Ian stormed out of the Karaoke Club and everything seemed to get quiet. Anthony sighed loudly and dropped his arm, "Let me go talk to him." He huffed, darting towards the exit.

"Can you drive me home?" I asked Noah and he immediately nodded.

It was getting harder to hide my emotions around these people. I felt my walls beginning to fall down and it was hurting me. I liked Anthony, but his best friend despised me. The feeling of worthlessness was weighing down at my heart more and more each time he snapped at me. Usually I would be able to take the hits, but as I spent more time with Anthony I could feel the ice melting inside of me and I was becoming more vulnerable.

I followed Noah to his car and kept my head down as we passed Ian and Anthony arguing. For some odd reason, I didn't want to get involved. My usual defiant attitude was shoved deep down inside of me and I was quiet the entire ride to my apartment. I didn't want to be a bother. I didn't want to ruin anything between them. I wanted my walls to be sturdy, but as Anthony entered everything came tumbling down and I was defenseless.
