Cooking Love (Sou x Reader)

"I'm sooooooo bored" I stated while lying lazily on the couch.

Sou sat down next to me, releasing a big sigh and replied back, "Me too."

It was the middle of June, the peak of the raining season. We were going to go on a date today, but because of the harsh rainstorm, it was impossible to take even one mere step outside. We just sat there, watching the windows as raindrops hit them with big punches.

All of a sudden, Sou jumped off the couch and shouted, "Hey! How about we cook something?"

I looked at him with a bored face, "Sou-kun we do that all the time."

"Yeah but let's time how fast we can cook." He explained.

I got off the couch and asked him, "Sounds interesting...what are we cooking?"

"How about... Omurice?" Sou answered after deep thought.

"Nice and simple! Ok I'll get the ingredients, you prepare everything else" I planned, and we dashed into the kitchen.

I took out the eggs, rice, ketchup, onions, carrots, and leftover chicken. Sou turned on the stove and rice cooker and grabbed the measuring cups and pans from the cabinets. I quickly beat the eggs and poured them into a pan while Sou put the rice into the rice cooker and carefully cut the onions and carrots. He moved the chopped vegetables into another pan and cooked them right next to me on the stove. We were quiet during the entire cooking process and quite efficient. Once the rice was ready, I took over both pans as he took out the rice. It was as if our minds were one. He grabbed the ketchup and mixed it in with the rice along with the leftover bits of chicken. When the vegetables looked cooked, I called out to Sou and he grabbed the pan carefully and added them into the rice. I focused on making the egg soft and fluffy and topped it on the rice Sou already placed onto our plates.

I looked at the clock that hung on the wall and yelled, "11 minutes and 23 seconds. Sounds like a record!"

"Wait Y/N-chan, we forgot an important step" Sou replied.

I looked at him confused, "WHAT?! What is it!"

"Grab the ketchup bottle" He ordered and I quickly ran back to the kitchen counter and grabbed the bottle, returning back to the dining table.

"What now?" I asked him.

Without speaking, he walked behind and wrapped his arms around me, his hands reaching for the ketchup bottle I was still holding. His hands were directing mine to flip the bottle upside down and to squeeze the ketchup onto both omurices, forming heart shapes. I put the bottle down and he let go and walked back to his previous position to face me.

"I love you Y/N-chan" he stated, blushing through his smile.

I blushed and replied," I love you too Sou-kun." We sat down and fed each other our omurices, and the love between the two of us mixed with the fresh scent of the ever falling rain drops.
