Birthday Confession (Shori x Reader)

I was doing my homework when I received a call from my cell phone.

I picked it up and clicked the accept button, "Moshi moshi?"

"Hi (Y/N)-chan, it's Sou." He stated.

I asked, "Oh, hey Sou-kun. Did you want something?"

He answered, "Actually, yes. Yesterday was Shori-kun's birthday and because of our busy schedule with the new single, none of us were able to remember to wish him happy birthday."

Oh crap, that's right, his birthday is the day before Halloween... "I forgot too, I feel so horrible..."

"Same. The four of us decided that we could tell him we're planning a Halloween party, but in reality it's a surprise party. Waddya think?" He explained.

I remarked, "That's a great idea!"

Sou stated, "Awesome! We're having it at my house so come over in around an hour ok?"

I replied, "Sounds good, see you then!"

"Bye bye!" And I hung up the phone, and grabbed as many birthday decorations I could find and stuffed them into a tote bag. This will surely be a day Shori will remember!

~~Time Skip~~

I rang the doorbell and Sou opened the door with his usual dumb grin, "Hey Y/N-chan! Come in."

I nodded before stepping inside and taking my shoes off, only to see Marius, Fuma, and Kento running around the house.

I confusingly asked, "Uhh... what are you all doing?"

"Well, apparently Sou-chan didn't tell us we'd be holding a party at a MESSY house, we're required to clean up his mess." Kento exclaimed and glared at Sou.

Sou retorted, "Hey I thought it was actually pretty clean!"

"You think ten cup noodles sitting on your tatami mats is clean??" Fuma shockingly asked him.

Sou scratched the back of his neck, "Hehe... you have a point."

Marius was running across the house with a futon, until he looked up and saw me. His mouth gaped and he dropped the futon, staring at me in shock, "S-SOU-CHAN! WHAT'S Y/N-CHAN DOING HERE???"

Sou looked nervous as he replied, "Uhm... setting up the party like we planned?"

"BUT WITH HER HERE HOW IS SHORI SUPPOSED TO-" Kento ran towards him at the speed of light and put his hand on top of his mouth.

I lifted an eyebrow in confusion, "What...?"

Sou yelled at Marius, "Baka! You almost ruined everything!!"

I put a hand on Sou's shoulder, "Sou-kun, what's going on?"

He shrugged my hand off and ran into his bedroom while shouting, "NOTTHIIIINNNNG!" And slammed the door shut.

Fuma sighed and yelled towards his direction, "REAL SMOOTH SOU-KUN! REAL SMOOTH!"

I asked, "Can someone please tell me what is going on???"

Fuma and Kento exchanged glances, Marius not moving a muscle from the hold Kento has on him.

Kento whispered to Fuma, "She knows something's up. We're not going to get away with this."

Fuma gave out another sigh, "Should we tell her?"

Kento answered, "We have no choice."

They turned towards me at the same time. Kento released Marius from his tight hold and Marius fell onto his knees and inhaled as much air as he could, trying to catch his breath.

Fuma explained it in the most subtle way possible, "Shori-kun likes you."

Kento face palmed and my cheeks flushed bright red.

"Come on Fuma-kun, even I could've done a better job." Marius stated as he stood back up.

"Let me do the talking!" Kento said and hit Fuma's arm.

"Alright alright! No need to get violent." Fuma stated.

Kento looked back at me and explained, "To make it short and simple, this whole thing was a ruse. Even the birthday party is fake. We were planning on setting it up so it looked like a party, but we would plan on ditching you so you two would be left alone. The objective of the plan was to have Shori-kun confess his feelings for you."

I was shocked from the entire ordeal, "W-what..."

"And now thanks to Mr. Idiot, everything's ruined." Kento said and glared at Marius, making him feel guilty.

I was speechless. Not a single word came out of my mouth.

At that moment, the doorbell rang.

"SHIT THAT'S SHORI!!! I THINK SOU LEFT THE DOOR UNLOCKED!" Fuma shouted.

"Mari-chan get out there and say we need to abort the mission!" Kento demanded.

Just when Marius was about to take off, I grabbed his wrist in time to stop him, "Guys... continue the way you planned it."

All three of them looked at me in shock, "What?!"

"Just trust me!" And I shooed them away. They opened the door to Sou's bedroom and ran inside.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" I could hear Shori enter the house, heat rising up my cheeks from what was about to happen. I decided to head into the living room, pretending to try and search for the other boys.

"Oh, hi Y/N-chan!" A bright smile appeared on his face as he entered the living room.

I explained, "Hi Shori-kun!Sorry, everyone else just disappeared when you got here.. that's strange."

"There's actually a reason for that..." he stated.

I asked him confusingly, "Why is that?"

He pulled out his arm from behind him, where a huge bouquet of flowers were in his hand, my eyes widened in shock.

"I love you Y/N-chan. May I celebrate Halloween as well as my 20th birthday alone with you?" Shori confessed, his cheeks tinted a bright red.

I took the bouquet in my hand and inhaled the pleasant florals, "I love you too Shori-kun, of course I will."

His eyes widened in shock at first, but then a bundle of happiness exploded from within him and gave me a huge bear hug.

"OH MY GOD SHE ACCEPTED!" Sou shouted.

"WOO WAY TO GO SHORI!!!" Fuma should, and Marius and Kento clapped for us.

Shori and I hugged again and he suggested, "Want to go eat somewhere?"

I answered, "Of course! Let's go." And we walked outside, holding hands, and enjoying the presence of each other's warmth.

I really felt like I should make a fanfic about his birthday so I typed this all up within 2 hours. If the plot doesn't make sense it's probably because I'm exhausted as heck. I'll promise I'll edit tomorrow, I'm just glad I posted something on Halloween.
