CSG was now over. It was the worst 45 minutes of my life. A boy approached me.
"Uh, hey... Leila, right? Ya wanna go out with me on Friday and go see a movie?"
I didn't know how to respond. He sounded weird and, I'm not one to judge,( I mean I have CANCER after all,) but he did not look like a trustworthy dude.
" I'll get back to you on that. What's your name?" I asked.
I really didn't feel like striking up a conversation with this guy, but it was the nice thing to do, and 2, he looked like he needed a friend.
" I'm Blake, but never mind," Blake responded.
" Well that was weird," I thought.

The Next Day*The next day was a " Cancer Check-Up Day, " as my doctors and nurses liked to call it. My mom woke me up way before my school alarm clock went off, and it wasn't even the school year!
" Wake up, sleepy head! Today we have to go to your monthly check up, now up, up, up!!" my mom exclaimed, waking me up from a dream about me getting married to my celebrity crush!
" Right at the good part!" I thought.
" I'm up, I'm up!" I said, swinging my legs out of my bed and grabbing a handful of almonds from the bowl on my bedside table.
I got dressed in a navy blue t-shirt, a pair of faded jeans and simple purple sneakers with comfy soles in them. I grabbed my phone and headed down the hallway to the stairs and ran down them, crashing right into our family cat, Furball.
" Hey! Watch it cat!" I exclaimed.
"Mwrowr?" Furball meowed, acting innocent.
I decided to ignore him, and walked into the kitchen. My mom had already put the toaster out for me. I grabbed bread and butter, popped the bread into the toaster and waited the 2 minutes for the toast to pop.
