Chosen- Chapter 4

(A/N): Hey Guys! I had lots on my trip Monday - Wednesday. We did this thing called the 'Leap of Faith', it was amazing because we had to climb a pole and jump off but we had a harness wrapped around us. We also did 'The Giant Swing'. It's just like a real swing but your wrapped to a harness and being pulled up by a rope. Now, On with the story.

Rydel's Pov:

We are on our way to Starbucks. I don't know why but I am insanely excited about this so called 'date', even though it isn't really. At this point, I am smiling like an idiot, which I think Alex notices because he looked over and smiled.

"What are you smiling so much about?" asked Alex.

"Nothing. I'm just really excited about getting to know you better." I said still smiling.

"Well, what do you wanna know?"

"I don't know. Tell me about your family."

"Well, I'm actually adopted. When I was around two or three years old, both of my parents were in a car accident, I was with them. They didn't make it but I did. Now I live with my adoptive family."

"Sorry to hear that." I said.

"Nah, it's okay. At least I'm not still stuck in that orphanage, right?"

"Yea."

"Tell me about your family." He asked.

"Okay, as you already I have four brothers, Riker, Rocky, Ross and Ryland. My family is very musically related, all of us know how to play at least one instrument. My brothers, Riker and Ross, are actors. You may have seen Ross on Disney Channel and Riker on Glee.

"I think I may have seen Riker on Glee. Doesn't he play umm... What's his name-?"

"Jeff!"

"Yea, that's his name. His only line was six."

"I see your a major glee fan."

"Somewhat."

We pulled into the Starbucks parking lot. Alex parked the car and he got out. I started to open my door but he stopped me.

"I'll get that."

"Thanks."

What a gentleman? We walked into the building and waited in line behind a woman and a little girl, who I'm guessing was her daughter.

"Mommy!" Said the little girl, "Look, it's Rydel Lynch!"

She looked up at me and smiled. I smiled back at her and she signaled for me bend down.

"Hi. I'm Mackenzie. I know who you are, your Rydel Lynch, from R5. Can I get a picture with you?" She asked sounding very nervous.

"Sure sweetie." I said.

I picked her up and her mom took the picture.

"Thank you." Said her mom.

"No problem."

Mackenzie looked back at me after I put her down she whispered in my ear, "You're my favorite, other than Ross but don't tell him that."

I giggled, "I won't."

~ 15 minutes later ~

We finally reached the front of the line and it was our turn to order.

"Welcome to Starbucks. What would you like to order?"

"Mocha lotta", said Alex for his order, "Same for the lady." It's like he read my mind because that's exactly what I wanted.

We waited again for our orders to be ready.

"Two mocha lottas" said the clerk. Alex and I both walked over to the counter and picked up our coffee.

"How'd you know what kind of coffee I wanted?" I asked him.

"I don't know, something told me that that was what you wanted so I went with it."

Awww! How sweet is he?

"That's sweet." I told him.

"I've been told."

We both walked out of the building and took a seat outside. While we were out there, we had a pretty good conversation about random things. At one point, I think we were talking about bows.

"Hey, it's getting late want me to take you home?" he offered.

"Might as well." I said smiling.

We walked to the car and once again, Alex opened the door for me. Once he got in, he cranked up the car and began to drive. I told him the directions to my house as he was driving.

"Turn left here." I said.

"We are here."

Alex got out of the car, and walked over to me to open my door. He walked me up to my front door.

"Thanks." I told him.

"For?"

"Showing me a great time. I had fun with you today."

"Your welcome."

"One more thing." he said before leaving.

"And tha--" I was cut off my Alex's lips being pressed onto mine. It took me a minute to realize what was happening but soon enough I kissed back. I believe we were kissing for a good while before we both needed air.

"That was my first kiss. My first real kiss!" I thought in my mind.

I looked at Alex and he looked back at me smiling. I couldn't help but smile back.

"Goodnight Alex." I giggled.

"Goodnight Rydel." He said with a huge grin on his face.

I giggled again and opened the door to my house, as Alex was leaving, and walked in. I quickly walked up to my room and slid my back down the door.

"I just had my first kiss." I said to myself.
