29. One Call Away

Charlie's P.O.V

I walked off stage feeling a little flushed. When I got into our green room y/n and Holly were already looking my direction like they'd been waiting for me. Y/n immediately came to me and held my hands then got on her tiptoes and placed a kiss on my cheek but I could tell she was holding back a laugh. "Oh. MyGod. That was the most embarrassing and awkward conversation I could ever have had." Holly snorted as she burst into a laughing mess and an amused smile slipped onto the corners of y/n's mouth "Aww baby. I could literally feel it radiate through the screen."

I took a glass and filled it with the lemonade that was in the jug next to it. Y/n's attention was focused on the four women who were aimlessly feeling the abs of 3 body-building extras. I sat down and joined them. Bzzz bzz. I felt my phone vibrate under my bum. Pulling it out of my pocket I read and answered the contact on it 'bro✌'. "Ahahahahaha! Ahaha! Dude you got done... By Ellen!!" Stephen cackled down the line. "Bro.. that was SO weird and awkward anf just bleughh" I relieved. Y/n wrapped my arm around her shoulder and lent her head on my chest.

"..Charlie. You're up to perform in 5" the lady I walked out on stage with at first, said through the door. "That's my queue" I said untangling myself form y/n. "Go get em' baby" she kissed my cheek.

Your P.O.V

"Now here to perform one call away. Please welcome, once again, Charlie Puth" Ellen pronounced whilst holding up Charlie's new album. The screen opened to reveal my beautiful boyfriend. His angelic voice instantly filled the place. I loved this song in his album the most and knowing how hard he'd worked to get where he is now, I couldn't help but gloat and feel so proud of him.

The crowd started clapping along with the beat of the chorus as he got to it. Even me and Holly started singing and swaying with him "...I'll be there to save the day, Superman.." We giggled at our similar nature.

For a split second Charlie looked into the camera, as he sang the bridge of the song, and winked. The whole of the audience shrieked.

"Hey baby, you did great!" I greeted Charlie as he opened the car door. He kissed my cheek before doing his seatbelt. "We're going to McDonald's quickly before we go home by the way Chaz" I informed "Oh-kay then. McDonald's it is"

When we got there I wasn't feeling as hungry as I thought I would be, but Charlie and Holly still were so I wasn't complaining. "Hi can I help you?" The lady behind the counter said with her head down. "Um, yeah can I have the small BBQ chicken wrap meal with a honeycomb frappe please" Holly spoke first "and I'll have a medium bacon clubhouse burger meal with a Dr. Pepper... Y/n/n?" Charlie indicated for me to speak. In the time they were ordering I had been focused on the staff whispering in the kitchen "oh umm. I'll have the large strawberry lemonade, large fries aaannd a strawberry and creme pie please." Charlie gave me an odd look and just paid.

I chose a table in a secluded corner to sit at. "Princess aren't you hungry?" Charlie asked "no. I don't know why, I'm just a little peckish" I smiled up at him. Whilst we waited I texted my mom to see if she was fine at home. Just as I sent it I heard footsteps approaching our table. "There you go, I hope you guys have a great me-OH MY GOSHH YOU'RE CHARLIE PUTH & HOLLY CHESHIRE!!" The girl shrieked whipping her phone out "yeah the last time we checked" Charlie chuckled knowing what was to come. Both him and Holly stood for the photos. The girl gave me a devious smirk before asking if Charlie could kiss her cheek. It was all okay, until she turned her head at the last minute making him kiss her lips. Charlie pulled away and only pure shock was evident on their faces when they looked to me. Charlie only looked guilty for himself.. Or maybe it was my mind playing tricks. My chest stung because I was holding back mounds of tears, so I looked down at my fries and coughed out a small "it's fine, it was an accident."
I sat in silence most of the time we ate and only rose to speak if I was mentioned in the conversation..

I didn't say much on the way home either. I just stared out of the window, out of Charlie's sight, and when he'd talk to me I'd pretend to be asleep.

I knocked on the door of my mum's house and by now it was 11:30 at night. She opened it with heavy tiredness and gave a meak smile. "I figured you'd be quite late so I've already put Tia in your old bedroom hun" she explained whilst walking to her bedroom. I followed closely behind her "Thanks" I yawned.
