The week seemed to drag on, each day lasting longer than the previous, and it seemed as if time had slowed down, just to torture me by making me wait. Eventually the weekend came about, and I've been spending the whole of Saturday planning what I'm going to wear. Blue skinny jeans, a black baggy t-shirt and a grey hoodie is what I've settled on- casual but I look alright in them. I've also spent the best part of the day feeling a concoction of excitement and nervousness at the thought of getting to see Luna again even though I saw her beautiful face just yesterday.
10 pm comes around slowly, and I spent the day fantasizing, reading and painting my nails a dark navy blue, a colour I know Luna loves. Barely able to shut my eyes due to excitement I desperately try to sleep but my efforts are in vain apparently- every time I'm about to drift off my brain conjures up a new scenario for tomorrow, each more ridiculous than the last. Slowly my brain becomes quiet, and I slip into dream land.

I practically fall out of bed as my alarm goes off as it startles me so much. After switching it off, I heave myself out of bed and into the shower. As hot water runs down my back, I feel less nervous about today, and my muscles start to un clench. I hadn't realized how tense I was until now, and I chuckled slightly at how ridiculous I was being.Once I'd finished showering I got dressed in the designated clothes I had decided on yesterday, and dried my hair. I applied some light make up- a smidgen of concealer, mascara and subtle eye liner- then headed down for my favourite cardboard flavor cereal, and reluctantly force myself to eat it. When the hideous gloop is gone, I grab my bag containing my money and phone, check it over a couple of times, and then set off for the park, feeling really glad that today is happening.

The day was going so well! Me and Luna met at the park, hugged, and then spent hours looking round shops for some decent cloths, which admittedly was very difficult as the shops round here are not particularly modern, or even remotely stylish. Now we're sitting in the park drinking milkshakes. Hers is strawberry, and is a baby pink colour whereas mine is chocolate caramel, so is a pale chocolate colour. It's actually really yummy, which is odd as everything where we live is usually pretty poor. We are talking about school, the new clothes we have just acquired and are both happily slurping on our milkshakes. Luna cracks a fairly awful joke knowing they're my favourite, and I laugh loudly really enjoying every second I spend with her. Luna's pocket starts to vibrate, which makes her jump and me laugh even more. Shooting me a glance, she pulls out her phone and reads the text she's just received."Bum," she sighed, "I've got to go, my mum wants me home." Hints of frustration are plastered in her voice. I smile up at her, and we both stand to say goodbye. I lean in close to her to give a goodbye hug, but she's looking at me, dead in the face. I freeze, not wanting to make her uncomfortable in anyway, but she's still watching me. She leans over and kisses me on the lips, lingering there for a few seconds. The taste of her lips and strawberry milkshake warms me, and sends shivers down my spine. This is the moment I have been dreaming about for so so long, and it is one thousand times better then I ever imagined. Her lips sooth the fire burning in my heart, and causes my stomach to knot. As quickly as it started it was finished, and Luna is leaving the park and heading home. I take in a gasp of air, and slowly release it, letting waves of emotion crash over me.
'What the hell just happened?' Is the only thing swirling my mind right now, and as I start to walk home in my dazed state, I replay the kiss over and over again in my mind.
This has been a truly fantastic day.
