Sitting on the bus, I plug in my headphones, shut my eyes and try to stay calm. I'm a bit of a mess, honestly. Not in a physical sense, I look okay, but mentally my head is all over the place. I can't stop thinking about her, and the kiss, and how I get to see her again in less than thirty minutes. I sigh, and try to focus on the lyrics of the song which is currently being blasted into my skull.

Eventually the bus journey ends, and after all the other children have fought there way of, I wander towards the door, thank the bus driver and head off to my locker to see Luna. Ten minutes have passed by, and there's still no sign of her. Odd. She normally texts me if she's ill or something. I let out a sigh of frustration, and trudge to my form.

The lessons crawl by slowly, and Mr Grey just seemed to be going on forever about different business types. Ugh. I hate business studies, I don't know why I picked it for GCSE, it's so dull. A short and sharp bell rings, and I hop up, out of my seat, hurriedly cramming my book into my bag. I rush out of the room, down a short corridor and I turn left. I stop next to a creaky wooden door, and inhale sharply. Luna has Geography whenever I have business, so I should be able to catch her coming out of her lesson. The door swings open and smashes into the wall with a loud bang. Out charges around twenty students, rushing to get to the canteen. After the mob of hunger driven teenagers has stormed off, Luna steps out. She spots me and gives a small smile, but looks incredibly nervous. "Ash, um... We need to talk, about what happened." She mumbles, staring at the floor.

"Okay," I nod. "Lets go to the benches, they're usually quite quiet." Luna looks up at me, and we walk in silence to the benches.

I sit down, dropping my bag on the floor next to me. Luna keeps her bang on, and delicately sits next to me. "I'm sorry about kissing you," Luna splutters, turning red. "It was a mistake, and I shouldn't have and I'm so, so sorry." She has gone an even brighter shade of red, and is staring at the floor again, kicking her feet.

"Hey, it's okay!" I laugh. "I liked the kiss, and I like you." I smile. She looks up at me, and gazes at me, like she's in a trance. Then, she snaps out of it.

"I like you too... But we can't be together. I can't be with you, I don't know what I want and it wouldn't be fair on you... I really like you, but I can't. I'm sorry..." She whispers, shakily. I was shocked, to say the least. And stunned, and hurt. I turn to Luna to say something, but she is quickly walking off. I exhale slowly, then burst into tears.

I love her, and she loves me, but she wont be with me, and there's nothing I can do about it.

A/n sorry it's been ages since I've posted, I'm on holiday. This is going to be a really short story, and I'm going to finish it in the next chapter. I'm planning on writing a new story, not related to this, so if you have any suggestions let me know :)
See ya x
