Jack Is Suicidal

Confession

A/N: Sorry about the 1st person to 3rd person shifting. I can't figure out how to tell the story from just 1 person. Forgive me!

Mark's face came on screen as did Jack's in the bottom corner.

Mark: "Hey man, what's up?"

There was a pause as Jack tried to gather himself.

Mark: "A-Are you crying?"

Jack: "Yeah"

Mark: "What's wrong?"

Jack: *sigh* "YouTube won't remove the strike and everyone hates my videos now, and I just don't know what to do. People are unsubscribing left and right. I feel helpless."

Mark sat there quietly listening as Jack told him how he felt. It was a little bit awkward for him considering he didn't know how to fix any of his problems. But he still wanted to be there for his friend who was is serious need of recognition.

Mark: "I'm sorry that all of this is happening to you. I don't know why it's happening either. I think that a lot of the commenters are just trolls. Why would so many people all of a sudden say that stuff?"

Jack: "I dunno man, I recognize some of the users in the hate comments."

Mark: "You can't let stuff like that keep you down. You know that half of those people would never say that to your face."

Jack was silent and just stared at his hands. He didn't believe anything that Mark was saying.

Mark: "Hey, look at me."

Jack slowly looked back at the screen. He could see that Mark was physically starting to get upset as well.

Mark: "This isn't your fault. You didn't do anything wrong. I watched your last few videos and they were just like your pervious ones."

Jack: "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset too."

Mark took off his glasses and wiped away the tears forming in his eyes.

Mark: "No, it's okay. I'm fine. I'm just worried about you."

~He's lying~

Why would he being lying to me?

Jack: "Really?"

Mark: "Yeah, I've never seen you sad before. You are always so positive and upbeat, so I know this really hurt you."

Jack: "Mark, I have to tell you something."

Mark: "What is it?"

~Don't tell him. He won't understand~

Jack: "I've actually had clinical depression for a while now."

Mark was shocked. How could someone fake being so happy and energetic all this time?

Mark: "Why didn't you tell me?"

Jack: "I didn't want you to pity me, or treat me any differently than you would treat Bob, Wade, or Tyler."

Mark: "Surely you must know that keeping silent and that stuff is dangerous. How could I have helped if you didn't tell me?"

Jack: "You can't help me either way."

Mark: "Jack, please see a therapist. It could make all the difference in the world to talk this out will a qualified professional."

Jack: "..."

Mark: "If there aren't any good ones in Ireland then come to America. You could stay with me in L.A."

~He'll hate you if you do~

Jack: "You would actually do that for me?"

Mark: "Of course I would. You're one of my best friends. I want you to be as happy as you can be.

Jack: "I might just take you up on that offer.

Mark: "When do you want to move over here?

Jack: "I don't know, but I'll have to get all of that legal shite out of the way before I will be able to say.

Mark: "Well go first thing in the morning to get your passport and stuff.

Jack: "Alright"

Mark: "And I guess let your viewers know you won't be posting many videos while you are moving.

Jack: "... Actually Mark, I think I want to quit Youtube.
