A/N: I feel like this chapter just came out of nowhere. I had no idea what I was going to write and then this happend. More bonding I guess. I had a lot of fun writing this one.
It's been 2 days since Jack's last appointment. The main thing on his mind was Mark.
How the hell am I going to tell him? Do I need to tell him? Can't I just hint at it?....No, that won't work. If he doesn't know yet then I will have to tell him.
~He'll be disgusted by you.~
Damn it! Think positive! Dr. Von Bosch said I have to think of happy things when this happens. But what makes me happy?
Jack looks through the curtains of his bedroom window and sees the night sky. It's been raining for about an hour now. Lightning cracks across the sky and is later accompanied by a tremendous roar of thunder.
I miss the rain.
*knock knock*
Jack: "Come in!"
Mark opens the door and locates Jack and steps into the room.
Mark: "Hey the TV emergency broadcast came on. They said we need to take shelter until the storm passes."
Jack: "Shelter? What shelter?"
Mark: "Shelter meaning sleeping in the bathtub."
Jack: "Seriously?"
Mark: "Yes seriously, get your ass in the bathroom, and grab all your pillows and blankets."
Mark runs around the house gathering all the pillows and blankets and putting them in the bathroom. A siren starts to go off, freaking out both Mark and Jack. Mark grabs some snacks, water bottles, and a flash light. They get into the bathroom and close the door.
Jack: "Does this kind of thing usually happen?"
Mark: "No, never."
There is another crack of lighting and an ear shattering boom. Then power goes out.
Mark: "Shit!"
Jack: "Mark, I'm scared. The rain does get this bad in Ireland."
Mark: "It doesn't usually in California either."
Mark finds his flash light and turns it on. He sets it on the floor and they lay down half the pillows and blankets in the tub and the other half on the floor.
Jack: "Who gets the tub?"
Mark: "You, obviously. Your smaller than me."
Jack: "What time was it when the siren went off?"
Mark: "I don't know, like 9:40 or something."
Jack: "Oh, okay. I'm going to try and sleep then.
Mark: "Alright, good luck sleeping in the tub, it's super uncomfortable after a while."
Jack lays in the tub for about thirty minutes before drifting off to sleep only to be waken up by a trickling sound. He sits up and sees Mark's figure standing in front of where the toilet would be.
Jack: "Are you taking a piss?"
Mark: "Yeah, when you gotta go, you gotta go. Did I wake you up?"
Jack is laughing. He is glad that it is so dark because he was definitely blushing considering his crush had his little friend out.
Jack: "Yeah, but it's okay. Is the warning still in effect?"
They hear another siren going off in the distance.
Jack: "Never mind."
Mark flushes the toilet and laid out on the floor covered in pillows and blankets.
Mark: "It will probably last all night."
The house has gotten hot now that the air conditioner has been off for a while. The two men are begging to get uncomfortably sweaty. Mark takes off his shirt and pants. Jack hears the ruffling of Mark's clothes and he peers over the side of the tub to see what Mark is doing. He blushes madly and realizes that Mark actually has a good idea and Jack does the same. Putting his clothes on the edge of the tub. Though Jack was terrified before, having Mark beside him made Jack feel safe. Even though they were separated by the tub walls.
Mark: "Good night, Jackaboy."
Jack: "Good night, Mark."
