"W-What accident?" Lucy asked with fear in her voice.
"IT'S NONE OF YOU'R BUSINESS WHAT ACCIDENT!!" Sting hissed at Lucy still looking at rouge with eyes of rage. The guild hall fell silent then Sunny started to sneak back with Martin.
"Sunny where do you think your going." Lilly asked in a older brother type way. Lector heard Lilly lecture Sunny and stamped over to protect his little brother.
"You leave Sunny alone and let him do whatever he wants." Lector said while trying to intimidate Lilly. No one really paid attention to the exceeds bicker over what Sunny can and can't do.
"Sting you have to tell them." Rouge said trying to break the silence. Sting just shot him eyes of death.
"WHO IN THE WORLD DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO ASK MY LITTLE BROTHER TO COME AND HELP ME." Sting yelled at rouge still in raged by what he heard him say. Rouge stood there and stared to stair at the ground.
"I-I I just wanted to see you two happy again." Rouge said while tears dripped from his cheeks to the floor. Sting looked at rouge and started to feel bad.
"Hey don't cry I'm sorry I was just upset that Martin is hurt." Sting said trying to calm rouge down. Meanwhile Sunny had made it back into the infirmary room where Martin laid silent.
"Would you mind telling us what accident rouge was talking about?" Erza asked in a kind and caring tone. Sting looked at her and then at himself through a nearby mirror.
"It was 10 years ago me and Martin just met rouge...."
*Flashback*
It was a beautiful summer day birds were chirping happily.
"Hey sting." A little boy said with pure joy in his voice.
"Ya Martin what do ya need buddy." Sting answered a little nervous as the were walking through the woods. With their little exceeds on their heads asleep.
"Do you think we'll meet anyone nice when we get to this town?" Martin asked with a grin on his face. Sting stopped and looked at his little brother with a tear in his eye.
"Ya buddy we'll meet the nicest people." Sting said while wiping away the tear. Martin looked at him and slowly started to speak.
"But we don't know what happened to Lumios and Weisslogia." Martin said with tears in his eyes. Sting looked at Martin and gave him a hug and was about to say something when he heard something.
"Whose there." Sting said as loud as he could for the follower could hear. Then from the shadows came a little boy about the same age as sting.
"W-What do you want." Sting said with as much courage as he could. The new boy stood there looking at the two brothers and slowly spoke as to not scare them away.
"I saw you two walking passed and wanted to see if I could join you as I don't have anyone to walk with." The mysterious boy asked. Sting and Martin looked at each other then Martin spoke.
"What's your name." He asked with kindness in his voice.
"Rouge." The boy said with a small smile on his face.
"Hi rouge I'm Martin and this is my big brother sting." Martin said while trying not to laugh. Sting scanned rouge and say a pink thing in his cloak.
"What that?" Sting asked as he pointed towards the pink thing.
"She's my cat she's like yours." He said while pointing at lector and Sunny. After they were through talking about there exceeds they started walking towards town again.
"So rouge do you know if there are any nice people in town?" Martin asked while sticking close to his older brother. Rouge looked at him with a smile and told him.
"No but if there isn't I'm fine cause we're going to be best friends right." He said while smiling at his two new friends. Sting looked at Martin with a big smile and then at rouge with the same smile.
"So rouge where did you grow up at?" Sting asked trying to get a conversation started. Rouge stared at him and proceeded to answer.
"I grew up with my dad skaidrum he was a dragon." Martin and sting looked at each other while rouge looked confused.
"He just like us." Martin said with stars in his eyes. Sting looked at rouge to scan for any sarcasm. After a minute he spoke.
"So what was he like?" Sting asked still trying to scan rouge.
"He was really nice and funny." Rouge said with a slight frown on his face. He then tried to change the topic. "So what were your dragons like." He asked trying to hold back a year. Martin looked down and started to cry at the thought of Lumios.
"Hey buddy it's alright we'll see them again I promise." Sting said while looking at rouge with eyes of death.
"I'm sorry I didn't know." Rouge said while trying to help sting calm down Martin. Then there was a loud snapping sound and a big creature came out of nowhere.
"Quick run I'll try to slow it down." Sting said while pushing Martin towards rouge.
"NO." Martin said not wanting to leave his big brother. As the creature drew closer there was a bright light coming off of sting. Then on his face and arms scales grew. He lost control of what he was doing after he was finished with the creature he looked at his brother. His hand glowing he threw a punch at him. Rouge barely able to push him out of the way. Both rouge and Martin scared and not knowing what to do.
"What's wrong sting what happened to you." Said while walking up to his older brother. Sting just looked at him and threw another punch hitting Martin in the arm leaving him on the floor crying and bleeding. Soon after sting snapped out of it and saw his little brother crying. He tried to give him a hug but Martin denied it. When sting saw the blood he knew he had to get his brother to a doctors. He picked Martin up and ran while rouge followed close behind. When they reached the doctors rouge told sting what he did. At first sting was in disbelief but when he looked at his clothes he saw blood all over it. He began to cry and ran out the building. Rouge chased after him when they returned the doctor asked where their parents were. After sting and rouge explained the doctor looked at sting. The doctor looked at them and said.
"If you want I could put all of you in foster care?" Sting thought and asked if he could put Martin in. The doctor nodded and walked away.
"What about you and me?" Rouge asked as sting walked out of the building. This time making sure he didn't turn back.
*End of flashback*
"That's what happened that's why we haven't talked in the passed ten years." Sting said with tears in his eyes while rouge stood next to him trying to calm down his best friend.
