Author's Note

I've always wanted to create a book specifically for this underrated pairing, so this is the beginning of what I've came up with. Do you guys like the cover I made? ^3^

Feel free to leave a request on what you guys want to see next!

"Minna, another good job in improving your assassination skills today! You were this close to killing me," Koro-sensei sounded a little enthusiastic to make his students feel more hopeful for the next attempts.

"We won't back down next time Koro-sensei!"

"Narufufu, I'll be looking forward to it~"

As the last words have been heard, everyone packed up their bags and went their separate ways. Before Karma proceeded to follow his common routine of walking home with Nagisa, he was taken aback.

"Okuda-san?" he whispered to himself as he saw his petite classmate walk towards what seems to be the Chemistry Lab. Karma's concern over Okuda only increased when he noticed all the girls already heading home together.

He would let the thought of Okuda walking home alone pass by but knowing that this specific assassination just so happens to take place during night time, he couldn't help but worry.

"Ne, Nagisa,"

"Nani?" Nagisa's sight was following the direction of where Karma's eyes were so focussed on.

"You should go home first,"

"..nande? It's getting late Karma-kun," Nagisa's second time quoting Karma a question got him noticing how off-putting he's presenting himself. Especially knowing that he's always one to dread the time he'd spend at school when he can just do whatever the heck he wants elsewhere.

"Ano, I think I left something," Rubbing the back of his head, it was shown how Karma's itching to get back into the campus. Although Nagisa had some curiosity to how Karma could leave something in the first place (after all, he's definitely not a forgetful being), he thought 'Even Karma can forget sometimes too, huh?'

"Ii yo, guess I'll see you tomorrow then. Ja, ne!" Nagisa lightly chuckled, he's never seen Karma with such a different trait. He's definitely going to use this against him as defense to ready himself for Karma's constant teasing and pranking nature.

Making sure what he saw before wasn't an illusion, Karma sighed at the sight of bright lights glowing from outside the Chemistry Lab. Okuda didn't even remember to close the doors which is how Karma could clearly see the brightness even from a mere distance. He quickly paced himself to see what Okuda was up to during this hour.

"Okuda-san, it's getting awfully late. Nani yatteru no?" Karma leaned against the left side of the door with his arms crossed.
Okuda stumbled slightly at the sound of his voice.

"W-who is it?" As if she didn't recognise the voice echoing from the entrance, Okuda turned to confirm who is was. She was relieved to see not a stranger, but a familiar everyday-face in class.

"Karma-kun.." While Okuda was attempting to hide the evidence of her current experiment, she quickly gave up because it's impossible for her to hide anything from Karma.

Once everything made more sense to Karma, a soft smile formed on his lips. That is so like her. He walked towards Okuda, genuinely excited to see the new venom substance that's created solely for one purpose; killing Koro-sensei.

"Suge! Let me see!" Karma took the test tube from her small hands and raised it above the lighting to play around with the poison.

"Karma-kun! That's not safe to play with!" she tiptoed to regain her possession but failed even with multiple tries. The height gap that the two share was just enough to have Karma easily winning over the situation.

Not planning to give in to Karma so easily, she managed to grab hold of the test tube's bottom.

"Yatta!"

"Not so fas-" Though she managed to slightly pull it down, Karma's upper body moved its way with the test tube. A long pause occured as Karma and Okuda only had a few centimeters away from each other's faces. This caused the two to look deeply into each other's eyes.

"D-dakara, what I'm saying is that you shouldn't be here alone in the middle of the night. It's not safe," Karma slowly stood up straight, hand behind his neck while trying to avoid looking at her in the eyes. Thankfully, he still remembered his intention to seeking Okuda in the first place.

He gave back what was her's, embarrassed to where he's brought this situation. A faint blush appeared on his cheeks, a deeper one on Okuda's.

"I was about to.." she was surprised to look up and see a flustered Karma. It's nice to know that she wasn't one-sided in feeling that certain emotion, it put Okuda to ease.

"..but I got a little distracted," Okuda nervously laughed, taking in some self-realisation to how late it was.

"Baka, isn't it a good thing that I'm here then?" Karma stuck out his tongue in a playful manner. He was back to his usual character once he cooled down abit.

"We better get you home soon. Your parents are probably worrying over their miniscule daughter," Karma teased Okuda's height after the incident that proved him towering over her.

Okuda was quick to notice the term miniscule that was used in many 'sciency' sentences. The rosiness on her cheeks became more and more obvious as she finally spoke.

"Hm..I'm not that small Karma-kun," her cheeks puffed to the description Karma made for her. Karma couldn't help but find her really cute. What kind of response is that? He didn't expect Okuda to react that way, it was attractive to him.

"Joudan da yo~ Why don't we head back?" Karma helped Okuda pack by stuffing her belongings into her bag.

"Karma-kun..eto,"

"You don't have to carry my bag you know? I already appreciate you coming here to get me," she sweatdropped. Karma wasn't planning to give her bag back, he was already walking towards the door to signal follow me.

"Nevermind," Okuda hurriedly followed his direction while smiling at the thought of Karma worrying about her.
