Serenade's Pov:

I wake to the sound of screaming in my ear. "Good morning sunshine!" I hear Abigail yell out with the energy of a cheerleader at a pep-rally. "Come on! Today's the big day Sarah! Get dressed. I would like to get to the venue a little early to get a good spot in line." She said over enthusiastically while shaking me. I grumbled an incoherent response and propped myself up on my elbows. "I'm up woman. Calm down and get out so I can get ready." I muttered trying to rub the sleep away from my eyes. She rolled her eyes and went to the kitchen to make breakfast.

I slowly made my way out of bed and did my morning routine which consists of daily hygiene and stretching. I walked to the bathroom and decided to skip the shower so I would have time to actually do my hair and makeup. I began brushing my teeth, then moved on to washing my face, then brushed my hair. I had already plugged the straightener in before all of this; so, when I finished brushing ,my hair, I began straightening it.

A good 30 minutes later and I'm only halfway done with my hair. Sometimes I wish I had kept it the way I had it in high school, 'short and naturally colored.' I thought to myself as I looked at my waist- length blue hair. I rolled my eyes and dismissed that thought seeing as it would only remind me of how I wish a few other things from high school were still the same. I continued on combing and straightening my hair, until, I finally finished and turned off the straightener.

I dug out my makeup from my enormous makeup bag and set it all out on the counter. I applied some foundation and powder to hide all my blemishes, used my favorite water proof gel eyeliner to make some sharp wings that could cut a bitch, some nice nude color scheme eye shadow, and a waterproof mascara to finish it all off. All in all, if I actually participate in a mosh pit, I won't sweat everything off.

"Sarah are you almost done? Breakfast is ready and it's already 8." Abby yelled from the kitchen. Ii packed all my stuff up and placed everything back in its place. "Almost done. I just need to put my clothes on." I yelled back. I walked back into my room and grabbed some random clothes I found in my closet. The clothes happened to be my favorite pair of ripped light washed skinny jeans and a Motley Crue shirt Andy had given to me for my birthday, back in sophomore year. I shrugged my shoulders and threw it on. I also grabbed my white high top converse and padded to the kitchen.

"Child, I smell bacon and eggs! Where's my plate?" I yelled as I rounded the corner from the living room into the kitchen. Abby just continued pouring her juice as I took a seat at our island. "You're going to make us late now." She said as she placed my food in front of me. I shrugged and mumbled an apology and began to scarf down my food. She scoffed at me then went to go grab her last minute things.

"I'll be out in the car!" Abby yelled before slamming the front door. I sighed and finished putting my now clean dishes away. I turned on my heel and grabbed my wallet, my phone, and my keys before leaving and locking the apartment. I tried going down the stairs as fast as possible without hurting myself so Abby would be a little less mad.

I open my car door and seat myself in the drivers seat. "Abby do you have everything you need?" I asked making sure to enunciate every syllable of the word everything. "Yeah, I think so anyways. Even if I did forget something it doesn't matter because we seriously need to go now." She said. I nodded my head okay and put the car in reverse.

Not even 5 minutes out of our hour long car trip Abby begins a conversation. Not that I'm opposed to talking to people, just not while I'm driving. You know? "I can not wait to see them Sarah. It's going to be everything I've ever dreamed of and more." She said with a dreamily look on her face. Honestly she looked high. "I'm sure it will be Abby. So am I doing the VIP stuff with you too or just the concert?" I asked her. She dug through her small back pack she brought and whipped out some papers. "Okay I have the two entry tickets for both of us and I was told that I get the VIP ones at the actual event. Which means, yes you're doing both with me. I mean I kinda need you there Sarah. Knowing me I'll probably freeze up and die right in front of them. I need you there to help keep me a little calm." She said looking at me with puppy dog eyes and a pout. "Abby I want you to know something." I started off. She nodded for me to continue. "I really really really fucking hate you sometimes. Especially seeing as I don't even know a song by this band. But you're so lucky I love you." I said, not taking my eyes off the road. She smiled and sat back in her seat.
