"We finally get to go somewhere!!" Miku yells happily, throwing her arms in the air and nearly hitting One in the face.
"Watch it, Miku!" One says while laughing slightly.
"Gomen, I'm just excited!!"
"Aren't we all?" Kaito asks while looking back at the back seats
Luka was driving while Kaito rode in the passenger seat. Miku and One were in the middle row of seats and Flower and Aria were in the back.
"Isn't this your first time going to a lake, Flower-Chan?" Aria asks, looking at Flower curiously.
"Yeah..." Flower admits sheepishly, rubbing the back of her neck in embarrassment.
"You're so cute!!" Miku squealed, making the white haired girl blush.
"Then you're going to love it!!" Aria says happily.
It took awhile, but they finally made it to the lake. They chose a spot underneath the trees so it was cooler, protecting them from the blistering hot sun.
"Finally, FREEDOM!!!" Miku yells, jumping out of the car.
"Whoa..." Flower was astonished, looking at the sparkling lake water, "This...is amazing!!" She ran towards the shoreline, looking into the water.
"I think she's happy!" Kaito said, pointing towards the black tipped, gerbil-like white tail that was wagging happily.
Luka chuckled and walked over to Flower, "Beautiful, isn't it?"
"Yeah!!"
"So, who's getting in first?" One asked.
Without letting anyone else answer, Miku jumped into the water yelling, "BANZAI!!!"
The rest looked at one another and shrugged, "BANZAI!!!" They all jumped in after her. Well, all expect Flower. She sat on the shore, watching her friends splash and play in the water. She wanted to get in, but this was her first time swimming, so she really didn't know how to. She was too embarrassed to admit it and ask for help on how to swim, so she just sat on the shore with her feet dipped into the water.
"Hey, Flower, why don't you get in?"
Flower looked up, snapping out of her thoughts when someone called her name. Miku had called her name.
"Oh uh.....I actually don't like water!" Flower lied nervously. She was a horrible lier.
One scoffed, "No one's buying that, Flower!"
"Yeah, I thought so..." Flower sighed and stood up.
"Come on, Flower-Chan!" Aria said happily, bouncing up and down in the water.
"Alright, alright, I'm coming!" Flower shakily stepped towards a wooden platform like structure which was placed right next to a deep part of the water, right on the shoreline. It was only about 2 feet tall and had a ramp to get to the top. It was obviously used for jumping into the water. Flower looked down at the water, tail tucked between her legs. What would happen when she jumped into the water? Would she hit the bottom? Will she drown? Will her instincts kick in and she'll be able to swim? In her opinion, she wasn't even really dressed for swimming. She was clad in a T-Shirt and swim trunks. The store clerk refused to give poor Flower a girl swimsuit because she thought the white haired girl was boy. But that honestly didn't matter to her friends, because they would keep pushing her to get into the water. Alright... I can do this, just jump in, Flower.... You won't drown.... YOU WON'T DROWN!!!!! Flower took a running start and jumped into the water.
-but it didn't exactly go like that.
Flower had slipped on one of the wet boards and plummeted, face first, into the water.
Kaito and Miku couldn't help but laugh while Aria freaked out. One just stared, trying not to laugh and Luka had to grab Flower by the waist to get her to resurface. "Are you ok?!" The pink haired woman asked, voice full of concern.
At first, Flower didn't answer, immediately making Kaito and Miku stop laughing. Then, she started giggling, and that turned into laughter. She laughed until she started coughing. "Wh-whoops!" She choked out, a bright smile on her face. The others joined in on the laughter and Luka gently lowered the white haired girl back into the water, happy to see that she can swim on her own.
That was definitely a day to remember.
