Being married was fun. Trust me, I know a lot of people make it out to be a miserable and mean thing, but I honestly couldn't be happier. Being in the honeymoon stage probably helped.
But Alex and I were content with bliss even after our honeymoon. We both returned to Baltimore with tan skin, large smiles, and even larger hearts. I was so glad to be his and to have him be mine.
We both had time off of tour until after Christmas and New Years which made everything better. We sat on the couch with a deep sigh. I leaned into Alex and he stroked my arm.
"I love you," I said kissing his jaw.
"I love you more," he said.
"Nope!"
"Yeah!"
"Nuh uh!"
"Yeah huh!"
"Nah"
"Yeah!"
"No"
"Yes!"
"Never!" I yelled and this time Alex jumped on top of me.
"Say it again," he smirked.
"Never," I said sticking my tongue out. Alex began tickling me and I couldn't help but crack up laughing.
"Alex...stop! I give up!" I said between laughter.
"Say I love you more!" He said.
I stayed silent, giggling to myself.
"Say it!" He he said.
"Okay! You love me more!" I said. And he stopped.
He got up and I took my chance, "Not," I muttered and jumped up running away.
"I heard that!" He said chasing after me. I ran and hid in the closet and sat down.
"I know you're in there..." I heard from outside the door.
But suddenly I was out of the game. I felt extremely sick to my stomach and before Alex could even open the door I bolted out of there, sprinting past him and into the bathroom.
He followed with a confused look and once he saw that I was sick, he rushed to my side and pulled back my hair while comfortingly rubbing my back.
I was done and I sat back, taking a deep breath. "Well that was awful," I stated.
"Was it something you ate?" He asked.
"It's the morning, I've barely eaten anything," I said.
"Well let's go get some lunch, maybe you'll feel better," he said.
I nodded and followed him out.
Alex was very sweet about everything. He made me chicken noodle soup and tea and kept checking on me and making sure I was okay.
"Alex I'm fine! Lets just watch some TV," I said snuggling into him. We turned on a movie that I didn't pay attention to. I was too busy thinking, because the last time was sick like this, I thought I was having a baby.
Oh my gosh. I can't be...can I?!
I leaned further into Alex and pushed those thoughts away. I was so nervous if I was, I know it was a few years back that Alex told me we'd be bad parents but what if he still wasn't ready? I couldn't raise this baby alone! And what if I am a bad mom?
I tried to relax and ease my mind and focus on the movie. The next scene showed a mom playing with her daughter. Kind of hard to not focus on children when you see them right in front of you.
"That kid is adorable," I said trying to hint toward Alex.
"Yeah she is, maybe we'll have one someday," he smiled.
I sighed in relief but tended back up again. Someday, maybe someday didn't mean today, maybe someday meant years from now and he wasn't ready yet.
Calm down Sarah, he's your husband, you've been married almost two months, he'll be happy. He'll be fine.
I'm getting way ahead of myself, I don't even know if I'm having a baby. I need to settle down.
"Sarah?" Alex said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Hmm?" I asked.
"I said Jack and Tay are coming over," he said with a chuckle.
"Oh, awesome!" I said getting up.
I decided to go get changed and maybe talk to Tay about it when she got here. She would know what to do, I mean she helped me before.
I got changed into a pair of black jeggings, a cream colored oversized sweater, and put my hair in a high ponytail.
I heard the doorbell ring and felt better, once I talked to Tay it'd be alright.
Tay's POV
"You look so beautiful right now," Jack told me. I blushed and looked down.
"Alright Mr. Romantic, eyes on the road," I said teasing him.
He smiled and quickly kissed my cheek. We were currently on our way to Sarah and Alex's house to hang out. Alex told us Sarah wasn't feeling well so I wanted to make sure my best friend was okay.
We pulled up to the house and got out, hand in hand walking up to the door. I rang the doorbell and found Alex on the other side. He smiled at us and we came in.
"Hey guys, how are you?" He asked.
"Great! How's Sarah doing?" Jack asked.
"She's better she's just getting changed," he said. She walked in two seconds later and smiled at us.
"Hey guys," she said giving us each a hug.
Jack and Alex went to go do their guy stuff, whatever that was, and Sarah and I stayed in the kitchen. She handed me a mug of tea and we sat down.
"So how are you feeling?" I asked.
"Oh! Fine," she said sipping her tea.
I could tell she wasn't telling the truth though.
Sarah's POV
"Sarah I can tell when you're lying, what's really up?" She said.
Tears welled up in my eyes and I looked down, then back up.
"Just come upstairs with me," I said dragging her up. I told her to wait while I did something.
I came out and she looked worried, "Sarah what's going on?!" She demanded.
I pulled her into the bathroom and she looked wide eyes at what was on the counter.
"When will we know?" She asked.
"Two minutes," I said with no emotion.
Finally, after the longest two minutes of my life, I looked down. Tay and I looked together and I gasped.
"I'm what?!"
