Make it a sweet, sweet goodbye.

It could be for the last time and it's not right.

Don't let yourself get in over your head, he said.

Alone and far from home I'll find you...

"Dead! Jack, what if she's dead?! This is all my fault, I didn't take

this threat seriously at all. Oh my gosh, oh my gosh," I repeated, my

breathing becoming uneven.

"Alex, dude calm down. It's going to be okay," Jack said trying to

comfort me.

Tay walked in with a cup of coffee and handed it to me as she sat down

next to Jack. He rubbed her back comfortingly as we sat in the

hospital waiting room. It was all too familiar, I knew this scene all

too well. And each time it had been my fault, or so I thought.

Rian and Zack were quietly sitting next to me, just as worried as

everyone else. Vinny was next to Jack on the other side, with Flyzik

next to him. Mike, Chris, and Drew were next to him, as well as Pierce

The Veil. Everyone was pretty worried.

"Alex, it'll be okay, she always pulls through," Tay said.

"What if this time is different? What if...I can't deal with this," I

said getting up.

"Alex," Jack called after me. But I heard Zack say "Just let him go,"

so I kept walking.

I made it to the opposite wing of the hospital when I sat down on a

random bench. I put my head in my hands and sighed.

"Life got you down boy?" an older man asked.

"Uh...yeah, I guess," I mumbled. He sat down next to me and mimicked

my sigh.

"Yep, I've been there, is it girl troubles?" he asked.

"Something like that," I said sitting up now.

"See that woman right there?" he asked pointing to an elderly lady in

a wheel chair. I nodded, "We've been married for 35 years, and she's

had cancer for 15 of those years. But we got through it together, and

she's cancer free as of yesterday," he said with a wide grin.
