June Lahey struggled to put in her contacts. She only got them two weeks ago and she was still having trouble with them. June was used to her glasses. They were easy to take off and put on. She didn't have to poke her eye but contacts had their perks. They didn't slide off her nose or cause acne between her eyes. She also looked less like a nerd than she was. June was a huge nerd. Not the ones who aced their schoolwork or knew how to hack computers. She was a fangirl. June knew every movie known to man and basically fangirled every time an actor posted. Just last week, she freaked out when Grant Gustin posed with his adorable dog, Jett and when John Boyega made a video of himself with fans.
June loved Star Wars, expect the prequels. She grew up to her father saying to her, "Luke, I am your father". Though, the true quote was, "No, I am your father." She played Star Wars trivia every Friday night when her parents were out and her little brother was in bed. Usually, she would play the game while texting her best friend, Ashley. Sadly, Ashley was moving to England and June would have to go into High School with no friends. Her and Ashley were their own group and people would stare clear of their weirdness.
High School was next Monday. Like any other normal teenager, June didn't want summer to end. The long, warm days of sitting in her room, writing fanfiction and the almost quiet nights where she blasted Hamilton and usually got yelled at for doing so.
This Friday though, she was going to watch The Force Awakens. June hoped that she wasn't going to sob. This was going to be the fifth time she seen it and everytime she cried the same amount of tears. Two hours into the movie, she decided to text Ashley her reactions. It was six pm in America whereas eleven pm on the other side of the world.
JUNE: ASHLEY! WATCHING TFA! BEWARE MY REACTIONS ARE COMING!
UNKNOWN: huh?
JUNE: Daisy Ridley is a goddess. She is gorgeous and her acting is so good!
UNKNOWN: Aww thank you.
JUNE: um, Ashley, you aren't Daisy Ridley. You wish you were.
UNKNOWN: I don't wish I was Daisy Ridley, I am Daisy Ridley, not whoever this Ashley is.
JUNE: Yeah, right. Prove it.
UNKNOWN:
JUNE: well what if you got that from. I'm checking...
this picture is nowhere so that means.... OH MY GODS! YOU ARE HER! I'm so sorry!DAISY QUEEN: oh it's fine but how did you get my number?
JUNE: my best friend, Ashley just moved to England and she had to get a new number. I guess she gave me the wrong one.
