A War With Love In Between

"Go With It"

"In this past week, another three inmates in jail have died. From what we can conclude, it seems that they have died from heart attacks..."
The radio was blaring in my room. I can't help listening to the news practically baffled about the killings happening. And they don't have a clue that points to me. I finished up my last paragraph to my history essay and laid back in my chair.
I hear Ryuk crunching on his last apple. I turn to him.
"I'm thinking...", I start. "If I could get L to not think that there's a notebook involved, he would get suspicious about me. But if I would tell him that there is a notebook, he would believe me and look into it?..."

Ryuk tilts his head to the side confused and tries to shrug his shoulders but does it awkwardly.
"Maybe you should think in between. But then again why are you asking me? Aren't you suppose to be a genius?" He laughs. 

Irritated I don't bother to respond to him and think by myself deeply of what I'm suppose to do. As much as I hate to admit it but L is smarter than I thought. So smart and meticulous that I have to think of something unpredictable but worthy enough to throw him off so he could off my back.

A slam of the door opening knocks me out of my thoughts that I even kind of jump.

"OOOOHH LIGHT!"
Jesus....why the hell is Misa here? Doesn't she know that she is jeopardizing everything and could get us caught?

"Oh Light, sorry i hope you don't mind Misa wanted to see you.", said my mom.

"No it's fine.", I said getting up out of my chair and shutting the door behind my mom. Turning my face into a calm rage so I can face Misa I already find her sitting on my bed.

"Misa! Look, I don't know what the hell you're thinking but you can't just show up to my house thinking that no one—especially my dad that is a cop—is going to be suspicious at some time!"
Her smiling face I thought would turn into a frown but she actually laughed like it was a joke, which made me even more mad...

"It's ok Light.", She says. "I'm super carful."

Super careful she says... Sometimes I think how stupid a girl can have a notebook. Which brings me to a brilliant idea.

"Misa L is smarter than you think and right now we have to make a plan to throw him off. But you have to trust me and say that you'll go with it."
She nods.
"Light of course you can trust me I love you."
I cringe. Why does this girl even think that?

Trying not to show my awkwardness about how Misa feels about me I sit back down and tell her my plan.
"L is seems to have more ideas and assumptions in his head so I want to take that for advantage. But he's suspicious about me so I have to somehow talk to him in and out of the situation that I'm not Kira. But then he also suspects that there is a second Kira which is correct since your here so—"
"Wait!—", Misa says standing up. "I don't understand how I'm going to come in." She wines.

Jesus I was getting to that...

"So anyway..." I continue again. "Since he suspects two Kiras I want you to have both of the notebooks with you just in just so if they find two notebooks belonging to two different people, that will be messy."

"But...I don't understand what will you be doing?" Misa asks.
"I will be closing in on L and seeing what he has on the case so that everything will become easier then, when the time is right, will kill him."
