Ravens P.O.V.
I opened my eyes to the sound of my alarm blaring once again. The sunlight peeking through my blinds made me squint in annoyance. I groaned and rolled over, "Ughhhhhh".
My door opened and my mother's face peeked in, "Raven honey, get up." I glared as she walked in and yanked my blanket off, "Nooooo".
"Get up before your late."
"But I don't want to go in..." I looked up at her with puppy dog eyes. My face fell as the sound of laughter filled my room.
"Nice try, but today is your first day back. Get up, breakfast is downstairs and we are leaving in twenty minutes."
"Fine." I mumbled, arms stretching as I yawn.
I drag myself out of bed and stumble into my bathroom. Inspecting last night damage makes me want to crawl back under the covers. Not only did the bags under my eyes make themselves known, but my hair decided to look like Shirley temple and Albert Einstein had a baby then that child decided to stick their hand into an electrical socket. I really shouldn't have been surprised at this point. Seventeen years of unruly hair and I still tried to be an optimist.
I grabbed an outfit and my straightener while hoping today would be a ten minute fix instead of half an hour. My prayers were answered and I tossed my bag over my shoulder before walking downstairs.
The smell of bacon filled the air and I smiled widely while sitting down. Grabbing three pieces and an apple, I tried not to stuff my face.
My mom's eyes ran over me and she laughed. Taking a sip of her coffee she said, "You have grease on your chin".
I gave her a look and wiped off my face. Kissing her on the cheek and grabbing my keys off the counter, I hurried outside. "Bye mom love you."
"Love you too. Have a good day and try not to fight with anyone."
"Pffft... Me... fight someone, nooooo." I smiled innocently, closing the door behind me.
I got into my car and started to drive to my new school, Bluespring High. It looked like almost any other high school, brick walls and the bad paint job. I was worried about the people though. I hadn't lived here in years and hoped my old friends remembered me.
I got out of my car and looked around at the obvious cliques. Rolling my eyes I walked to the entrance, I could feel eyes on me and mentally tried to make sure the grease still wasn't on my chin.
I didn't recognize anyone and the halls were all painted exactly the same so it took forever to find the office. Why it wasn't the first thing inside, I don't know. I sighed with relief, walked in and saw a splash of pink sitting behind the desk. The woman looked to be in her 80's and wore only pink. Pink shirt, skirt, and jewelry all paired with the makeup layering her skin made her look almost frighteningly old. The only thing reassuring me was the warm smile on her face.
"Hello, I'm Susan. You must be new here. Raven I assume?"
I looked at her and smiled nervously, "How did you know?"
"I've worked here for thirteen years dear and lived here my entire life. Not many new people visit and I happen to know just about everyone." She laughed and passed me a paper. "This is your schedule and your first class is down the first hall to your left. Number 218 ."
"Thank you." I walked out and groaned, great class already started. The perfect way to bring even more attention to me.
I walked down the hall while looking over my schedule, 218 English Class with Mr. Green. I took a deep breath, opened the door, and all eyes were immediately on me. Perfect.
The teacher walked up to me and said "You must be our new student. Everyone this is Raven." Curious eyes ran over me, probably analyzing over every flaw and tallying it. Mr. Green pointed to a blonde in third row and said, "That is Hope and she will catch you up on the lesson. You can take the seat next to her."
I looked over the girls face as I sat down. "Hope?" I questioned happily.
She looked up and smiled widely, "Raven?"

Thanks for reading my book and please give me your opinions.
I'm going through and editing before I continue with the story. Middle school writing ideas are not as good as the ones I have now. Also the images at the top will mostly be of Raven's outfits or one of the characters.
