Chapter 9- Who are you?

Grace/Ravens mom above 

Ravens P.O.V

I was literally scared for my life when I got home. 'They are going to kill me for putting myself in harms way' I thought.

I remembered that Hope still has the house key and panicked. I ran upstairs and locked my bedroom door. I tried to find a place to hide. Then I remembered, the attic. I ran into my closet because on the ceiling there is a little hole in the ceiling that leads to the attic. I closed the door behind me and climbed up. It was dark except for a square of light coming in from an old window. I looked out the hole and saw my friends banging on the door.

I was hoping Hope didn't remember to bring the key. My dreams were crushed when I saw everyone start to walk in.

"Raven" Jake yelled. 

"We know your here" Alex yelled. 

'How did they know?'

"You left your bag on the table" Luke yelled. 

"Damn it" I whispered. 

When I listened through the vent I heard Hope say my favorite hiding places. Then tell everyone to search.

I watched Liam try to open my door through a hole in the floor. I kept on watching when everyone came upstairs. 

Once everyone realized my bedroom door was locked. They tried to pick the lock and failed. I was once again happy that I was the only one who knows how to pick a lock. 

'They have to leave now.'

"We're not leaving till we talk to you" Alex yelled.

"Screw you!!" I yelled.

"Well at least we know that she's home" Jake sighed.

I watched them sit there till I got bored. I was happy I brought my phone with me. I watched a movie and they were still sitting there when it was over. 

Then I heard my mom's car pull up. Everyone ran downstairs to see who it was. 

"Raven I'm home." my mom yelled.

'Crap'

Graces P.O.V

"Raven I'm home." I yelled. 

I heard footsteps more than usual. 

"Hello" I was feeling nervous now. 

"Hi" a girl said. 

"Who are you? What are you doing in my house? And where is my daughter?" I asked.

"Don't you remember me." The girl asked.

"No" I said studying her.

"It's me Alex." She said.

I looked at her and realized it was Alex one of my daughter's old friends. 

"Alex? Oh my god your so big" I yelled walking over to hug her.

I paused "Wait. What are you doing in my house?" 

"We came to see Raven but she locked her bedroom door" Alex said.

"Wait who is we?" I asked. 'How many more people are in my house?' 

"Guys you can come out!" Alex yelled.

5 teenagers walked out.

"Are my eyes deceiving me?" I said.

"Nope" one boy said.

"This is"

"Jake"

"Jasmine"

"Luke" 

"And" 

"Hope"

Everyone said there names as Alex pointed to them. I gave all of them hugs then looked at one boy.

"And who is this" I asked.

"I'm Liam" he said. 

"How did you meet my daughter?" I asked.

"She saved my life" He said nervously.

"What happened this time?"

"A broken light almost crushed me" he said. I looked at him weirdly.

"Don't worry they know about Ravens gift" Hope said.

"Oh" I was surprised.

"Raven get your butt down here!" I yelled.

"Fine" I heard. Everyone smiled. I saw Raven slowly come down.

"Why does everyone know?" I asked.

"Well after I saved Liam we talked about my gift and they recorded me saying something in another language"

"What did you say?"

"The hour of departure has arrived, and you're meant to die. But, I can save you if I see." 

"Welp that is a decent explanation" I said.

Raven looked relieved. I looked at Hope and said

"She's yours now" as I walked away.

I heard Raven make a break for her room and someone yelling "your not getting away this time".

I just laughed and went to make dinner for eight.
