02| Moving & Hide and Seek

I woke up and looked at the clock, 11:17. I got up did my morning routine and put on (outfit in media). I then did a natural makeup look on my face and braided my hair on the side, then I was ready for the day. I went downstairs and greeted my mom and sister.

"Hey Maddie, there's breakfast on the table for you." My mom said.
"Thanks Mom, hey do you know when the neighbors are moving in next door?" I asked.
"Nope, why do you ask?" she said.
"No reason, I was just wondering" I said.

I finished my breakfast and put pretty little liars on the tv. I went to go look out the window and saw a moving truck next door.

"Mom I think the new neighbors are here" I said annoyed
"Let's go help them!" My mom said joyfully.

I groaned and walked over to there house. Then I saw Jacob and froze.
He kind of actually looked presentable and somewhat cute for once.

"Take a picture it'll last longer" he said laughing.
"Sorry I just zoned out for a moment, but need any help?" I volunteered.
" Um sure, can you get that box of clothes for me," he asked
"Of course," I said.

We walked in the house and into his room. I looked through his window and noticed it was straight across from mine. Great.

Jacob's POV
I finally got the chance to be with Maddie. I think she's cute, but i'm not sure if I like her yet, i'll see how her personality is.

"Jacob, you have a perfect view of me with this window." She said
"Don't call me a stalker now," I said.
"Yeah sure, anyways I got to go, but we're having a movie night at my house around 7:30, you should come." She said
"Sure I'll ask my mom, but what's you're number, so I can text you?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, it's **********" she told me.
"Okay thanks," I told her and she left my room. She's looks prettier in person.

Maddie's POV

I have to admit he did look cuter than I expected. That doesn't mean I like him though, I barely know him. I opened the door to my house, and walked in. Kenzie greeted me and said,
"So I see you're flirting with Jacob now, i'm totally telling everyone." She stated.
"Assume what you want Kenz, there's nothing going on between us." I told her
"You expect me to believe that? I saw the replay of the broadcast last night, and by the way i'm a #jaddie shipper." She noted
"Ugh whatever he's coming for the movie night, so don't start anything please." I begged
"We'll see about that," she smirked.

I went up to my room and got on my phone for a little while. I checked the time and saw it was 3:00, I opened a couple dms on instagram and tossed my phone on the bed and got my computer. I went on younow to see who was live and to my surprise Jacob was. I opened the curtain of my window to see a Jacob talking to his phone. He turned around and waved. I just laughed and closed the curtain. I decided to take a nap since I was pretty tired.

*after nap*

I wake up and saw the time 7:00. The movie was at 7:30. I quickly got up and changed into some sweats.

I went downstairs and quickly made some popcorn when I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and saw my dance friends, Kendall, Kalani, Brynn, Nia, and Jojo. I'm guessing they all carpooled.

Then I saw my one of my best guy friends Mark and I went to go hug him. I then saw Jacob walking up behind him and he seemed a bit jealous, so I gave him a hug too.
We all met in the living room and my mom went to get some groceries. We all decided to watch The Fifth Wave, but we got bored of watching the movie so we decided to do something else.

"We should go live and play hide and seek!" Brynn suggested.
"Sounds cool," I pulled up younow on my phone and and went live.
"Hey guyssss, i'm here with a couple of friends today and we decided to play hide and see- " I said before I got cut off.
"#Jaddieee"Jacob put his face in the camera and said. The comments went wild.

I just laughed at them.

"So should we have partners?" I asked.
"YESSS" Nia said.
"MADDIE'S MY PARTNER" Mark said as he tried to lick my ear.
"Yeah...no" I said as I shoved him away he made a frown and pretended to cry.
"I'll be you're partner," Kenzie offered. He shot up and hugged Kenzie.
"Atleast someone likes me," he huffed at me. I just laughed at him. We pulled the rest of the partners by using a hat and we each picked a piece of paper one by one.

Nia & Jojo
Me & Jacob

Kalani was the odd one out, so she was It. She then took the broadcast with her.

Jacob's POV
I was kind of jealous of Mark and Maddie, but i'm glad we became partners. Then we heard Kalani starting to count, Maddie and I quickly ran upstairs into her closet. We shut out the lights and became quiet. It was somewhat dark in there, but we could still see eachother's faces.

Maddie's POV

I could see Jacob's face looking at me in the corner of my eye.
"What ya looking at?" I asked him
He blushed a little and said nothing. I started to move around a little bit looking for a better place to hide when I accidentally touched his hand. He looked at me and looked back down at our hands I quickly moved it, and sat back down. I could hear Kalani talking to the broadcast so I started getting nervous I looked at Jacob and he was staring at my lips. I looked at him then my eyes fluttered down to his lips, he started leaning in when suddenly, Kalani opened the door.
