Dana's P.O.V.
The girls told us the horrible news. Aradia was being put up for adoption...and after everything she'd just been through? The poor girl...No wonder she had a problem with depression. My heart was actually breaking for her.
"THEY CAN'T DO THIS TO HER! WHAT THE HELL?" Even Dalton was getting mad.
"SHE'S MY DOCTOR WHO FRIEND. THEY CAN'T TAKE HER AWAY FROM ME! BASTARDS!"
"Dalton, language. You're in a boyband." Melissa tried to be cute.
"I DON'T CARE. THE GIRL IS 16. TWO MORE YEARS AND SHE COULD'VE MOVED OUT ON HER OWN." He stormed off into another room to calm down, Melissa right behind him.
I watched as everyone was slowly falling apart. Paula and Gabe were sitting on the couch looking defeated, Tyra and Will were drowning their sorrows in Chobani yogurt, and Jess was a ball of tears in my arms.
"Dana, they can't! They can't do this to her! To us!!!" I stroked Jess's hair and rubbed her back.
"Don't worry. I won't let them take her away."
I had to think a while. How was I going to fix this? I couldn't do it alone. I'd need help...Then it hit me. I started texting furiously.
Jessica's P.O.V.
How was Dana going to fix this? I didn't really see how he could. I loved him, but he could be so naive sometimes...
"WHAT IF WE KIDNAP HER AND KEEP HER HIDDEN AWAY UNTIL SHE'S 18?" Will shushed Tyra as she began blurting things out.
"WE COULD SEND HER ON A VOYAGE TO OUTERSPACE AND THEN WHEN SHE LANDED MAYBE..."
"Tyra, it's okay. Shh." Will did his best to comfort her.
I was so upset by everything that was going on around me. I decided to sit down on the floor. Paula came over and joined me.
"Are you okay?" I shrugged and didn't respond.
"I'm not," she confessed.
"Me either."
"Aradia's family. We can't lose her."
"I know. What do we do?" Paula looked at me and sighed.
"I don't know. All we can do is hope for the best."
~~~A few days later~~~
We were all gathered around our big meeting table in the XIX building. All of us were visibly nervous about what was going to happen with our bandmate. Simon walked in and sat down, beginning the meeting.
"I'm sure we've all been informed of Aradia's situation. I'm grateful and relieved to say we've found a solution to the problem at hand."
Dana's mom and dad stood up.
"We'll be adopting Aradia."
