There was a peaceful silence here, the river flowing down to meet with the friends it lost on the way here. There was something strangely similar between the river and the people. They are all born at some point in the same way, but as the grow they take different paths in life and still at the end they all die, like the river when it mixes with the vast ocean. And how they are loved by someone or the other, like the sweet water of the river which is loved by all, then when they die all is gone, the river loses its sweetness.

Sitting on the fallen tree trunk was a huge but handsome man. If you saw him you would know better than to get close to him. He was strong and powerful. Every woman's dream, if only he cared. He had long forgotten to love and he was not a teenager with wild hormones to bed women. He was far from them, as far as he could get. He knew he had a mate out there waiting for him. Somewhere deep down he was excited but he wishes to never meet her. His hate for women was one thing but this one, this mate he feared her, whoever that is. So he better not find her, 'women are weaknesses' , he thought.

Away from the pressure of his position and away from the prying eyes of his people. He was at peace at the moment, peace outside, peace inside. He really lik-

"Alpha there is a bad news," his third in command reported through the link. Gone was the moment of peace. Back was the Alpha, strict and strong. The word 'bad news' didn't sound too pleasant to his ears.
"On my way," said he. He could feel the tension and fear through the bond. The tension was dominant, making it more serious.

He rose from where he sat and shifted into the midnight black wolf. His wolf was special and as rare as the eclips. The first shift, which was at the age of sixteen was difficult for werewolves. But for him it was more than just difficult, it was painful as hell. But it was all worth it at the end. He loved it now. So he howled, disturbing the peace of the tiny creatures and bolted in the direction of the pack house.
****************

"Alpha," greeted the enforcer. He nodded in acknowledgment, before walking into the house. Or better call it a mason.

"Adrian!" The Alpha shouts.

"Jesus, don't be so loud come into the office, that's where we all are." Adrian's very much controlled voice swept into his head. Why would he mindspeak ? He mused.

"Because we haven't announced anything yet." Adrian replied, quietly.

He saw the three faces as soon as he opened the door to his office. Their expressions, grim. Louis took a step forward, then stopped as he felt the fury of his own kin just before it flashed in his eyes.

"I know you are mad at us but that is not going to help the situation we are in," said Adrian. The only person who had the guts to speak in this situation.

The Alpha's eyes turned to glare at him. But he stood there, staring back at him. Adrian knew it and this was just another proof. He had taken wolfsbane.

How did you know? Came his best friend's voice, confused. The frown was clear on his face.

Well, you're not as powerful at the instant, I don't feel your Alpha power. I don't think anyone in this room does.

"Victor, why would you do that again!" Louis exclaimed.

Victor sighed.

"What is the bad news, Jorden. " he asked the third in command, changing the subject.

"We attacked first but they won," said Jorden. The Alpha looked more pissed, if that was even possible.

"They had company, I figured. Another pack."

"Not a fair fight. I wish I was there," added Adrian.

Victor growled. Looking at the three of them. He hated losing, he didn't want explanations as to what and why they lost. It was a first for him and those assholes were going to pay for that. He had underestimated them and they were aided by another pack. He would be damned if he let them enjoy their little victory.

Calm down, we need a plan. And a great one. Adrian's words swept into his mind.

"Where were you then?" Victor asked, remembering his previous words.

"We were in the other group, we never got the single... So we didn't go,"

"Dahlia was injured from the last fight we had, so we all stayed behind." Louis added.

"We didn't get any single from them and they were supposed to be back by dawn, but they never came," said Jorden.

"So we went searching for them, many were dead, others ...we don't know." Louis continued.

" The others might have been taken captive." Adrian thought out loud.

Victor who was pacing back and forth, went stiff. He glared at him. He knew what that ment. Captives. His fist hit the door through which he had entered only a few minutes ago.

"Who?" He asked, gritting his teeth. He knew one name, but didn't want that to be true.

"Henry and Clarissa." Came the reply.

Closing his eyes, he tried to calm himself down. Plan, he needed a plan. He needed to save them. He needed to save his little sister, he had to save Clary.
