"She's blood" Alexander argued back before standing up and exiting the room dramatically. I moved uncomfortabley in my seat as I crossed my legs and sighed in frustration then looked at Mother.
She was sat behind her glass desk and massaging her temples. I know how she feels though, Ary-Anna seriously messed up yet Alexander and Cyrus can't seem to see that ! She ran away, she wasn't kidnapped or forced. It's what she wanted yet those two have been trying to find her non-stop, putting everyone's lives in danger for some foolish girl who doesn't want to be found.
"What do we do?" I finally asked. Mother elegantly put her hands through her long platinum blonde hair and took a moment to think before saying "We search, as your older brothers want" I huffed at her 'matter of fact ' tone and stood up.
"It's not what she wants! What do we do when we find her huh? Do we lock her up so she doesn't run away again?" I threw my hands up in frustration as mother glared at me for throwing a fit but she has no right to blame me! This shit is getting tedious and now they've got most of the men out searching because they almost had her before she ran away again.
"Dastan, She's your sister" mother seethed back, I flinched at her harsh tone and nodded quickly . "Which is why we can't just lock her up here." Mother's light blue laced with sliver eyes soften as she nodded and sighed. I took that as my cue to leave seeing as she's pretty powerless in this matter (which is a first).
I walked down the corridor as some of the men murmured good evening. I simply nodded whilst deep in thought. The amount of men have grown quite a lot, it was at 60 but a group of about 21 joined a month ago.
How do I save this place from being torn apart due to this damn family's emotional decision? Maybe Cyrus will see more sense than Alexander, I mean he is the oldest and was much closer to her than any of us.
I knocked on his door twice before walking in. The full moon was out tonight so it was pretty obvious he was in the balcony anyways. For some daft reason this room has a balcony, it's daft because this is the biggest and most advanced CDC fort in America, making it ideal for our group.
I entered his room which was set on dim lighting. The double glass doors of the balcony were wide open, ah I was right.
I walked with urgency through the huge room but stopped next to the left balcony door. I leaned on it and crossed my arms. How should I approach this matter ? I can't just be like 'I think we should totally forget about Ary-Anna and call the men back.' he'd probably punch me square in the face.
I decided to analyze his posture as I thought. His hands were resting on the glass balcony hand rest as he stared intently at the moon. I never understood his passion for it, I only saw a big white planet.
Why he wastes nights here Instead of drinking and making love to the many hot female, who we've selectively decided to give sanctuary, is a mystery to me.
"Brother" I almost whispered in a raspy voice. He let out a sigh as a sign that he has acknowledged my presence. I shook my head at his lack of real response and walked towards him "Tell me what you see when you look up" I said, well pretending to give a damn is a sort of approach. If he like Alexander perceives me of not caring about Ary-Anna then he will not let me make him see sense.
To be honest all Alexander and Ary-Anna did was argue. He had a passion of torturing any disposable survivors we found and she still thought of them as being equal to us. She's so weird.
"I don't really see anything anymore, I just feel Ary-Anna's presence" I rolled my eye as he continued "Can you imagine our little sister out there with those monsters? To think she was residing in a prison with peasants makes my blood boil!" He slammed his hands as he breathed heavily. Well that escalated quickly.
I nodded slowly whilst carefully thinking of what to say next. I didn't want him to take his anger out on me, I cannot let him harm my god like body, hell nawh.
"What are you planning on doing with the survivors she's been with?" He clenched his teeth and looked back at the night sky. "They're disposable , so therefore are Alexander's department."
I whole heartedly laughed at his response as he glared with confusion lingering in his eyes. "Listen I know I'm seen as the playboy careless maniac here but I can see through people and I know She's not going to let you live that down. I thought you two were close but I guess yall just wasted time talking about shit like the moon." I regretted saying that as soon as I finished.
Cyrus' body stiffened and anger filled his eyes as he lifted his fist up. I closed my eyes ready for the blow on my beautiful face but thank the lord Alexander burst into the balcony.
"We've found them."
