I was once free. Then you came.
You who stood out in the crowd. Who assured me everything was going to be okay when it was all breaking apart. Slowly, I could feel the pain of everything that was happening around me. Massacres happened and you did nothing to stop them. Didn't you say you cared about me? Then why are you doing this to my family? To my friends and loved ones. I saw them cry and bleed before you finally killed, no murdered, them and you still think you can tell me everything is okay?!
You made me think that I was below you just because you're white and I'm not. You tried your best to make me blind of the struggle out the window yet it's as clear as day what's happening.
People were dying out there. You're making them work to death! I couldn't believe my eyes or ears. And when it finally sank in what you did, I cried and cried for all those who couldn't cry anymore. For the families who lost their loved ones like I have. For those who lost their freedom.
I was once free. Then you came.
