The music filled the air as the celebration continued to night time. I stared at the seemingly glowing moon and noticed how infectious the happy, cheerful the laughter and smiles of the people around me are. Before I knew it, I'm smiling and wishing I could make myself a part of this festival. Too bad I'm too shy. I chuckled at myself at that thought. Staring without anything in mind, it drifts past the kids running around, throwing snowballs at each other, past the couples making snow angels and being extremely lovey-dovey, past the parents and the grandparents who watch the scene with content smiles on their face. I went back to staring at the sky. Wondering the "what ifs" of my life and the "whys" of me.

I was paying too much attention to my surroundings that I barely realized that someone was tapping my shoulder. I looked to the left. A girl was next to me. She looked about my age. She had bright, electric blue hair, a waterfall cascading down her shoulders. Her black eyes gleamed with mischief and her grin was crooked. I don't see many people wearing neon during the winter months but it did make this girl seem to illuminate like a light. Her hair wasn't helping dull the image.

"Stop staring won't ya?" She chuckled as my face went red. Leaning closer, her grin seemed to stretch as she introduced herself. "Name's Din. You?" Poking me on my chest with her index finger, she stood up so she could attempt to reach my height.

"A-alli-ie." I managed to choke out after managing not to imitate a rose. I should go before I embarrass myself you know? Before I could go too far, I felt someone grip on my hand and pulled me backwards.

"Hey! We just met. Why don't cha stay a bit." Her grip tightening a bit. "I'd even buy ya a meal, how bout that?" Her grin softening as she starts to guide me towards a nearby restaurant.

I don't know why I agreed but something about this girl made me feel like I could trust her. Like I knew her from somewhere. Like we already met a long time ago. I stared at our held hands as the restaurant looks closer and I couldn't help but smile.
