.

It's already saturday, and I invited everyone in our class to go celebrate with me today on my eighth birthday.

Mom baked my birthday cake, so Vera and Alex helped her with the other foods.

I stayed inside my room with Cara and we both did our homeworks.

"My birthday present for you was kept in my room" Cara said while answering a few questions on our assignments.

"What are you waiting for? Bring it here" I commanded

"Nope" Cara let our her tongue playfully. "It's a surprise" She smiled, then continued answering her homeworks.

I was about to say something, but I forgot it.

Cara rode her skateboard while I rode my bicycle.

After a few hours, my visitors will finally come.

"Hey clumsy, wanna learn how to skate?" She asked while skating ahead of me.

"I'm scared" I said and continued biking.

"Ofcourse not, come here birthday girl" She chuckled.

I ignored her and continued biking, since she's now ahead of me. She waited for my bike to come ahead of her then she held my hand.

"Cara what are you doing?!" I yelled

"Holding your hand?" She answered, more on like asking.

"You're such a dangerous girl, y'know that?!" I hollered then I held harshly the bicycle's break to stop us.

"You're no challenge" She smirked then skated around me.

"It's better to be safe than never" I huffed.

Cara laughed, she stopped skating then stomped her skateboard for her to grab it.

"Why are you so grumpy?" She smiled.

"I'm not" I fought back

"You are"

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"Yes"

"N-" She placed her index finger to my lips.

"Let's go home, 'kay?" She grinned

I removed her hand from my lips, then rolled my eyes at her playfully.

While I rode my bike and Cara skating until we reached home, Mom stood at the front yard and smiled at us.

"You little kids, where have you both gone?" She asked

"Just roaming the village" Cara said

"Okay, get inside. Your friends are already here" Mom said

Cara smiled at me then held my hand.

"Why do you keep on holding my hand?" I queried.

"Because, It's soft and I feel secured" She beamed.

I smiled at her then we walked inside hand in hand.

We're now at my room and we changed to our outdoor clothes.

"I don't like wearing those" Cara scrunched her nose and I giggled.

"Then, go change at your house when I'm done changing" I smiled
