(Third Person's POV)
Nick opened one of his eyes lazily at the sound of a door opening. He yawned before stretching his limbs, his back cracking softly before turning to stretch and sit on the couch he slept in. His ears twitched at the sound of keys unlocking the door with a kashash, click sound. Nick stood up and turned to see Judy with her eyes and ears droopy, passing through the door, locking the door behind her. Nick's eyes widened at the thought that maybe she didn't even go to sleep last night. What did she do outside the entire night? His assumptions, however, were quickly answered when Judy threw herself to bed and moaned before going to sleep at a record time.
A small chuckle escaped from Nick's lips. He knew he couldn't use the word, but there was no other way he could describe her as anything else. She looked so freaking cute! The way she quickly snuggled to the covers of her bed, her nose twitching softly, quickly grabbing a second pillow and pressing it to her small chest embracing it in a hug...
He just couldn't help it!
Nick's mood quickly changed, realizing the same fact he always had to tell himself. The one thing that made him take a deep breath and sigh in defeat.
He's a fox.
She's a bunny.
He can't love her.
She will never love him.
It wouldn't work.A light blush colored his cheeks at the word. Love. That was too strong a word for him to acknowledge. He felt...attached. Judy was the only other animal that Nick felt the most comfort with, besides maybe Finnick, but that's a different situation. He was releaved that Judy couldn't notice his...
His entire self that very moment.
"I hate to break it to you Carrots but you need to get ready." Nick told the amethyst eye colored bunny. He walks up to her and stands next to her bed, he kneeled besides her bed and stretched his arm forwards to poke her cheek. Once he touches her, she tiredly opens one of her eyes for a second before closing them again and using her ears to block the light bothering her eyes. She moans in irritation before asking her question.
"Why? What are you up to, fox?" She asks.
"We have to go and meet up with two other cops infront of the Fishtown Market." Nick inform the sleepy bunny. "Chief wants us to go pick up a search warrant."
This seems to catch Judy's attention. She was too tired from all the talking and the catching up she had to do with her former best friend, but this was something else. Why would they need a search warrant? There wasn't any leads yet!
"A search warrant? What for? What are we searching?" She asks as she tries to push herself up. She positioned herself on a more comfortable position to listen to Nick.
"We are going to search the Bubba Flippers fish market." Nick tells Judy with a matter of fact attitude.
There was just something about Mr. Bubbles that was pulling Nick's tail. He couldn't come to trust Mr. Bubbles. Nothing good can come out of someone called BUBBLES! That can't really be his name...
Or that's what Nick thought at least.
Judy gives a tired sigh. After nodding her head, she picks herself up and heads for the bathroom to take a shower. Nick waited forty minutes before she came out ready to leave. In the mean time, he had prepared himself with his blue winter jacket over his traditional green Hawaiian shirt and tie and a pair of brown pants, his badge hidden in one of his pockets. Judy came out with an orange winter coat with a red scarf wrapped around her neck, a dark purple skirt over a pair of jeans.
