Time didn't seem real for the next while, going home didn't feel real but then I woke up one morning I woke up and everything felt real again. Other than that nothing felt out of the ordinary then Nikki rolled over in bed and kissed my shoulder before mumbling groggily:

"Happy birthday, Dallas."

After we actually wake up Nikki and I go over to CC and Dakota's, where since the bar is being rebuilt has turned into our hang out. There's already an insane amount of cars and motorcycles out front when we pull up. We walk up to the door and my little niece rips the door open.

"Happy birthday, Aunt Dolly!" Junie nearly yells and I laugh.

"Thank you, sweetie." I say and pick her up. "I love you." I say and kiss her cheek.

"I love you too." She says and kisses my nose.

We walk further into the house and happy birthday is yelled at me from all nine hundred (like ten) people in this house. I awkwardly yell back thank you then my cousin hugs me like she's actually trying to force the air out of my lungs.

"Holy shit..air, Dakota." I gasp out and she releases me.

"You're twenty two." My cousin says and I nod.

"That I am." I agree.

"You're older than Bobby and Bret." She continues and I laugh.

"That is true." I agree with a laugh.

We all sit around and talk for a little while, mainly about how most of the guys are still hung over from the night before and shit like that. June plays on the floor with Tommy and Rikki while my cousin does something in the kitchen. Dakota sticks her head in the living room.

"Did you call your brother?" She asks.

"Didn't have to, he called me." I say and she nods.

"At eight thirty in the morning." Nikki complains.

"Well Dallas was born at eighty thirty two." My cousin explains.

"Still fucking early." He mumbles and tightens his grip around my shoulders.

"Baby Sixx didn't get enough beauty sleep." Tommy says without looking up from the blocks.

"No I didn't." Nikki states.

We talk on into the afternoon and at about three o'clock Nikki pulls me up off the couch and I look at him confused.

"What's going on?" I wonder and he smirks.

"It's a surprise." He tells me and laughs. "I know you don't trust me as far as you can throw me but come on."

"You're coming back here later right?" Dakota asks from CC's lap.

"Yeah." Nikki answers and pulls me out the door.

Nikki

Dallas and I walk into Dairy Queen and I know that I have her nice and confused. We order our usual order where Dallas get her favourite food on this planet, a hot fudge sundae. We sit down at a booth in the corner and my girlfriend looks at me.

"What?" I laugh and she smiles. "You love Dairy Queen and I wanted to surprise my girlfriend on her birthday."

"Okay, fair enough." Dallas agrees and grabs my hand. "I love you too."

"I love you too." I smile.

Okay so I guess there's more to today than hot fudge sundaes. Well, I found a ring and I called in a favour with someone that Dallas loves as much if not more than me (not the rugby God either, I tried he had to box the football god). I'm going to ask Dallas to marry me and it's going to be the ultimate surprise for her birthday, the birthday I missed eight years ago but I think what I have planned will even everything out.
