Marvel Academy

First Day of School pt.1

I was awaken by the sound of my alarm clock. Quickly, I shut it off and rolled over. I am not a morning person so I hate getting up in the morning. Since today was my first day, I thought it would be best to just get up and deal with it. I quickly got dressed into my really cute flowery dress and ran to the bathroom.
When I looked in the mirror I almost jumped. My Carmel brown hair was all over the place and my purple streak was misplaced in my hair. I quickly brushed my hair down and gathered my school things from my room. I decended the grand staircase and walked into the kitchen to find my mom and dad cooking breakfast. Every morning, my parents make breakfast for me. As usual, I quickly ate my breakfast and walked outside.
I looked down the street trying to spot other kids to see where the bus stop is. I guess I looked lost because a boy came up to me.
"Do you need help finding the bus?" He asked.
"Sure, I am new so I don't really know where it is. My name is Melody by the way." I replied.
"Mine is Miles." He said as he directed me to the bus stop. We instantly became great friends as soon as we loaded the bus with other kids.
The bus ride was very noisy and hot. Miles went to go sit with his other friends while I sat in a two seater alone. I looked out the window as the bus sped down the street. Something caught my eye as the bus sped by. It was a park full of trees. What caught my eye the most was how one of the trees had a artificial branch. I pay attention to detail so of course I was the only one who spotted it. The branch looked like it was movable because it had a few screws in it.
My attention was quickly brought back to the bus as it parked in front of the school.
As I stepped out of the bus I remembered that today is my first day so I have to make a good impression. I was able to get caught up with Miles as we were about to walk into the building. "Here goes my first day." I said to myself.
