Part 22

"So, all you do for right now is to play with the puppies and kittens. Keep them happy and playful. And don't get to caught up in Nash, he's not worth it honestly. But look at me, you could have me." Hayes says with a smile and a laugh. He's as cute as Nash.

"Well, I wouldn't have gotten caught up in him if he wouldn't have stolen my wallet." I say.

"True, but he was smart to do that. I mean if it meant to see you again, I would have done the same thing. Like look at you. Your gorgeous." He says smiling at me.

I blush.

We hear someone coughing behind us and we turn around. Its Nash.

"Bro, I got her. At least I'm not going to take her wallet." Hayes says laughing and I laugh along with him. Nash doesn't find it as funny as we do.

"Hayes, back off. You know what I said." Nash says.

"No, I don't have too. And I cant stay away from her if I tried. We have to work together. And I mean look at her."

"Hayes, stop."

"No." I say "Friday, right? I'll pick you up at 6?" I say. I wink at him and he gets what I'm trying to do.

"Yeah, totally." Hayes says laughing.

Nash is about to beat his ass here and now

"Nash, go. I'll be fine." I say. I smile at him and he walks away.

It feels like we just started but our shift is already over.

"Hey, Tris?" Hayes says with a smile.

"Yeah?"

"Can I have your number? Just to make Nash mad."

"Yeah sure." He hands me his phone and I put my name and number in.

"Thanks." Hayes says with a smile and walks away. 

I ask if I need to do anything else and they tell me I can restack a shelf and that takes me maybe 20 minutes to do. Then I smile and walk out the door and get into my car. I sit there for about 5 minutes. I'm trying to figure out if I want to go home yet or not. All the sudden my phone starts buzzing and I look at it. Its a number that isn't in my phone, I assume its Hayes, but as soon as I say hello I know its not Hayes. Its Nash.
