CHAPTER 2

As Anakin exited the cruiser on Coruscant, he looked back at his Master."Aren't you coming Master?" Said Anakin.

"No, I'm not brave enough for politics. Besides, I have to report back to the Jedi Council. And the public needs their poster boy." Replied Obi Wan.

"Come on master. You helped too." Admitted Anakin trying but failing to persuade Obi Wan.

"You were the one who defeated Dooku and rescued the Chancellor all while carrying me unconscious on your back!" Returned Obi Wan smiling at Anakin.

"All because of your training" Shot back Anakin with a crooked grin.

"Go. Enjoy your glorious day with the politicians."Ordered Obi Wan.

"Fine, but you owe me and not for me saving your skin for the tenth time!" Replied Anakin playfully.

"Ninth time, that business in Cato Neimoidia doesn't count." Commanded Obi Wan.

"Alright" Said Anakin somewhat defeated.

"Don't forget about the briefing tomorrow." Reminded Obi Wan.

"I'll be th... wait, what was that light? And who is that?!" Anakin asked searching the shadows of the landing platform.

"I'm not sure Anakin, I can't tell from here and I don't recognize his force signature either. Though his signature is somewhat familiar..." Answered Obi Wan, very curious of this stranger was.

"I saw a flash of light and he was all of a sudden there! How is that even possible!?" Retold Anakin perplexed.

"We've seen many an odd thing. I doubt that it's anything that cannot be explained through some logical way, Anakin." Reminded Obi Wan.

"Who are you and what are you doing here!" Yelled Anakin to the stranger who looked panicked.

The young, strange man's darted between Anakin and Obi Wan while he blinked rapidly, looking as if he were attempting to wake up from a dream.

Anakin and Obi Wan quickly but cautiously walked over to the young man as the young man put his hands up in surrender.

They got closer and then Anakin questioned, "Are you a separatist or republican? "

"What?" Asked the stranger, scared suddenly.

Anakin rolled his eyes in frustration. "Are with us or against us?"

"With. Definitely with."answered the young man, somewhat scared at the sight of his father being alive and in perfect health, and not to mention being right in front of him.

"Anakin, he looks somewhat like you, don't you think?" Observed Obi Wan.

"Yes master, but we have more important issues, laugh as who he is. And how he suddenly was here." Said Anakin eyeing the strange man with a form of disdain.

"May I ask where and what year I am in?" Asked the man.

"In Coruscant, 19BBY." Replied Obi Wan, wondering why the young man couldn't remember where or what year he he was in.

"Who are you and why did you suddenly appear?!"questioned Anakin again, now frustrated.

"Anakin, try not to scare the boy. I do believe he is confused on the days happenings." Said Obi Wan

"My name is Luke." Told the boy, who was nervous at this new revelation.

"And your full name is?" Asked Anakin, still not trusting this new, strange young man.

Luke had to think fast. He couldn't possibly give his real name. Who knows how that would change the Galaxy! "Starrunner, Luke Starrunner." Luke said quickly and reassuringly.

"Ok then, Luke Starrunner, where did you come from? Most people don't normally pop out of nowhere." Interrogated Anakin further.

"I'm not sure to be completely honest. Something, ummm, unusual took me here." Luke answered truthfully, still not sure how it had happened.

"Strange..." Stated Obi Wan.

"You don't believe him, do you master? This is a horrible lie. If you he was going to be untrustworthy he might as well have made a realistic story to tell." Explained Anakin, not believing in the least of the boy's ludicrous explanation.

"Strangely, I do Anakin." Obi Wan answered, much to Anakin's surprise.

"What?!" Exclaimed Anakin, bamboozled by his Master's reply. Had his master finally said yes to those death-sticks?

"Are you a Jedi, Luke? You do have an extraordinary force presence surrounding you." Questioned Obi Wan as he completely tuned Anakin out.

"Yes. But I still need a bit of training, my master became one with the Force before I could finish under his tutelage." Answered Luke sadly.

"How could you possibly be a Jedi? I've never seen you at the Temple even once!"yelled Anakin annoyed.

"Well Anakin, your not there too often if I might say so. I think I know why we've never scene him before." Intervened Obi Wan, now understanding the situation.

"What! you do?" Asked Anakin frazzled. "Cause I'm not following."

"Yes Anakin, I do know what's happening." Explained Obi Wan confidently." This has happened before to a few Jedi masters in past years. Master Yoda has witnessed it in some of his earlier years."

Anakin was for a loss and Luke was all ears now.

"Well get to the point. How and why is he here?" Anakin replied, his mood worsening with every passing minute.
