If Only~A Star Wars Fanfiction (Updated And Partially Rewritten)

CHAPTER 3

"Time travel." Stated Obi Wan.

"What!? Master you can't be serious! That is physically impossible!"Anakin practically screamed at Obi Wan.

"Oh, but it is Anakin. If you spent more time in the Jedi archives and less time working on that droid of your's, you would know that the force can take Jedi through time." Answered Obi Wan calmly.

"Excuse me, but I'm still here guys!" Interjected Luke as he looked between Anakin and Obi Wan. "You know, the kid from the future?"

"Luke, did you know of this before we came to this conclusion?" Asked Obi Wan turning his attention to Luke.

"Kind of. I think I also know why." Explained Luke. "But I—"

"Well please, do tell!" Exclaimed Anakin frustrated.

"I would prefer to keep those reasons to myself." Responded Luke." I don't want to tear the space time continuum, or whatever they say about time travel."

Anakin was now fuming.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU SHOULD KEEP THOSE REASONS TO YOURSELF!"Anakin yelled at Luke.

"Anakin, please calm yourself! I'm sure Luke knows what he is doing." Reminded Obi Wan.

"Excuse me, Luke. I need to talk to Obi Wan in private."Anakin  told quickly before grabbing Obi Wan's arm and slowly walking away to a distance where Luke could not hear them.

"You don't really believe him, do you? This has to be a joke! We can't trust him!" Whispered Anakin to Obi Wan.

"I can sense that he is being genuine Anakin, but we have to bring him to the council to confirm it." Replied Obi Wan calmly. "They will know what to do."

"Yes, the council males everything better!"Anakin said sarcastically.

"It's better than your way of fixing a problem..." Obi Wan muttered.

Anakin and Obi Wan looked back at Luke as the not took in his surroundings.

"Guess I am coming with you to the counsel, master." Responed Anakin, thinking about a certain someone waiting for him just beyond these pillars.

[ LATER AT THE JEDI TEMPLE ... ]

"Master Yoda, you surely don't believe this boy!"Exclaimed Mace Windu.

"Believe the boy, I do. Question me, you should not!" Answered Yoda firmly.

Anakin looked around at all the masters and then said,"I agree with Master Windu. This has to be a hoax!"

"On this council, are you, young Skywalker? Hmm?" Asked Yoda. "These information, been forgotten to tell me?"

"No Master Yoda. I apologize, Masters."Anakin replied.

"Young Starrunner, what is your purpose here in the past as you so state?" Questioned Mace Windu while gazing intimidatedly at Luke.

Luke gulped and preceded." I would like to keep those reasons to myself till the force reviles the right time to me." Answered Luke with all of the courage he could muster at the moment.

"Young Starrunner, you will tell us why imme—" started Mace Windu before Yoda began to speak.

"Windu! Speak, you should not. The force, strange things it does. Question it, you should not. Learn this by now, you should." Interrupted Yoda with a superior force.

"Other matters, we have." Reminded Yoda."Where he should stay, is such a question.

"The temple, perhaps?" Suggested Obi Wan.

"A good idea, Master Kenobi has." Responded Yoda while looking at Luke. "But no room do we have for young Starrunner. Housed with Anakin perhaps, since gone, his young padawan is."

"Me?!"Exclaimed Anakin flustered.

"Having a guest may help tame your reckless and rash attitude. The boy will hopefully teach you manners, of which you often clearly lack ." Added Mace Windu, the scowl never leaving his face.

"Decided, it is." Finished Yoda, leaving no room for argument.

"Skywalker, Starrunner, you are excused." Commanded Mace Windu with a stern voice.

The two left the council room and walked to Anakin's ship.

As they were walking Luke heard Anakin mutter,"Great, just great!"

Luke then thought to himself,"If only he know who I was."

Anakin sensed this and looked Luke strangely, but didn't ask knowing Luke wouldn't tell him. Luke immediately put up his mental shields and blocked any further probing from Anakin.

Luke got settled in and then the two left for the Senate Tower. As Luke got in the speeder with Anakin, Anakin said to Luke,"We have to hurry, I hope you don't get motion sick."

"Don't worry, I usually fly fast anuway." Answered Luke, excited with the thought of his first real flight with his father.

As Anakin started the speeder, he muttered to himself,"I hope she's still waiting for me."
