Expedition Gone Wrong Chapter 15

Today they left for the expedition the bruise on my ankle had healed and so had most of my other wounds but Levi still said I wasn't allowed to go. "Please." I begged. "No." he says as he locks me in the cell. "Why?" I whined. "You're not ready yet." he says. "What about food?" I ask. "There's enough food at the back of the cell for five days we shouldn't be gone for any longer than two or three." he says. "Water?" I ask. "Also at the back." he says. "What about hygiene?" I ask. "Sink and toliet in the corner there is a curtian and also soap and a tooth brush." he says. "Tooth paste?" I go on and he tosses me a tube. "Okay what about entertainment?" I question. "Books seven books at least two inches thick next to the food." he says. "What if you forget about me?" I ask hating the way it sounds. "One that could never happen two if something does happen Hanji and Erwin know your here." he says. "Levi?" I ask he puts the keys on the table across the hall. "Hmm?" "I love you please be safe." I say. "I love you two and I will be don't do anything rash." he says and he kisses me though the bars. That was really un-hygienic but he did it for me. "Be safe." I yell at him as he walks away taking the keys with him. His foot steps soon are gone totally. Please be safe. I think. I cant get out he took my hair pin and there is litterally nothing in here other than what he said. He must've had a cadet work till their hands were bloody this place is spotless. And it smells like lemons. He cleaned this entire place only he cleans everything with lemon sented stuff. I walked to the back and laid down on my small bed that he had set up. Faceing the wall I counted my breaths until I fell asleep.

When I woke it was dark out I didn't like how dark it was in here. I wanted light I hate the dark (a/n So not true I prefer the dark) it was lonely and showed no happiness. The only sign on light was the small lantern. I heard small sounds from upstairs but not loud. They couldn't be back yet there's no way the expedtion was that fast. I laid my head down again but this time couldn't sleep. The wall where I was was so dark I couldn't see the wall and it was litterally about three inches away. I closed my eyes and focused on the sounds around me. Faintly I heard drips from the water on the floor. Upstairs I could faintly hear feet. And down here in my cell there wasn't anything. 'Levi are you back yet?' I ask him through my mind. I got no answer. 'Eren are you back?' I ask. 'Yeah where are you?' his voice sounded sad. 'Go get Levi and tell him to let me out of this cell.' I said. 'Your in a cell!?' he asks. 'Yes go get Levi before I start singing happy brithday repeatedly.' I threaten. 'Okay!' he says then all is quiet. I hear someone coming down to my cell and then I hear the keys but I don't move. "(F/n)?" Eren asks and my heart was crushed what happened to Levi. "W-where's L-Levi?" I ask. "He's in his office." Eren says and I hear the door open. "I-is he hurt?" I ask. "No." "Then why..." I trailed off "Where are the others?" I ask. "Petra Gunther and Oluo are dead." Eren cries. "Oh my." I say and give Eren a hug. "He needs you I'm going to find Mikasa." Eren says. "Okay." I nod and run up the stairs to Levi's office. I run through the door not bothering to knock and go straight to Levi. "Are you okay?" I ask not letting go. "I'm fine." he says pushing me off. "No you're not." I sigh and shut the door taking his pen and paper work away.

"What are you doing?" he growls. "You need to calm down. Lets just go relax." I offer holding out my hand but he slaps it away. "I need to finish the reports." he says. "Levi calm down. You need to get your mind off of this stuff." I say putting my hand on his shoulder. "You need to think about it!" he snaps. "You dont care that all of my squad your friends are now dead killed by a titan shifter!" he yells. "Le-" "No just leave me alone go and frolic like you do I have work to do." he says. I walk out of his office and to my room grabbing my night gown and changing. Later in the night I made my way to the mess hall for water but while passing through I found Levi seated at the table with a bottle of alcohol. "Levi?" I ask. "Oh hey." he says the blush on his face barley visible in the candle light. "How much have you had?" I ask. "Not enough." Is all he says and goes to take another drink only to come up empty. "I say you've had plenty." I say and walk to the kitchen to grab my water. I drank my water and walked back out to see Levi still trying to get alcohol out of the empty bottle. "Come on Levi its time for bed." I say. "With you?" he asks hopefully. "I will stay but nothing will happen." I say he frowns but nods. "Okay get up." I say he stands and stumbles but I catch him and lead him back to his room I lay him on the bed and remove his shoes. I walk to the other side of the bed and I turn to lay down. I see Levi taking off his shirt and cravat. I blush as I see his toned muscles but quickly turn away again. "You promised you would stay he whines." I laugh a little and get in bed laying next to him. He wraps a firm arm around my waist and pulls me close. I pull back to see his face only to be suprised by the tears rolling across his nose and onto the pillow. "Levi do you wanna talk?" I ask. "Yes." he says. He sits up and so do I. I lay my head on his chest and listen to him. "This mission went wrong." he says and I nod. "We took Yeager into the big ass trees so we could use our gear and black flares were coming from every where. He was going to use his ability but he didn't because we talked him out of it. I had to leave to help capture the female titan who was a titan shifter she called the other titans to eat her but she got away. I went to find the squad and I did they were all dead. Yeager was fighting the female and he got hurt taken my ankle got hurt trying to save his friend and then we got him back but she got away. My squad is dead and if I had been there they might not be dead." he cries. "Shh..." I whispered as his chest rose and fell with un even breaths. "It's not your fault." I whispered. "Then who's?" he questions. "The person who helped kill them its the shifters she killed with out a second thought." I say. "So I should get revenge?" he says. "No you shouldn't just capture her and that's good." I say. "But-" he starts. "No Levi revenge is never the answer always show mercy to those with a heart soul brain and aren't titans." I say. "What about Eren?" he asks. "He was human before he was titan so he is human." I say. "I just don't know what to do." he whispers. I place my hand on his heart. "Can you feel this?" I ask and he nods. "Can you feel the beat?" I ask and he nods again. "Do that. Live. Breath. Play enjoy live move on but never forget. Be serious but never forget fun." I say and he nods. I lay my head on his chest and fall asleep listening to his heart. The last thing I heard was "I was never drunk I can hold my liquor."

Levi POV

I felt so bad over so many things. Snaping at (F/n) being one of them. I waited till the brats would be asleep and went down stairs I got a almost empty bottle of alcohol and drank it then I heard noise they were trying to be quiet and were obviously very light considerig when they hit the squeaky board it barley made sound. They entered and the candle shown on their face it was (f/n) she probably was here for water I devised a plan to talk to her. So I pretended I was drunk. I acted drunk and she told me I had had enough she left and for a moment I thought she was going to bed but then she came out looking happy. And she lead me to my room. I laid down and so did she but I didn't hesitate to remove my shirt since it was hot. We laid down and I pulled her as close as I could and did something I can't remember the last time I did it. I cried "Levi do you wanna talk?" (F/n) asks me. "Yes." I say we sit up and she places her head on my chest. I told her about the mission and the team and what happened. It hurt to say it it was hard to admit but I missed those brats. We spoke and it feels every word I spoke if felt like another needle being driven into my heart. It was my fault if I had stayed they mights still be here. I voiced these opinions and she just comforted me like only she could. Then she ended up saying it was the killers fault and I was about to make a promise to get revenge but she stopped me. In (F/n)'s eyes we should show mercy but I was having issues with mercy. I don't know if I ever found the killer if I could show mercy. "I just don't know what to do." I say I feel helpless and vulnerable. I feel a foreign warmth on my chest. I look down to see her the most beautiful girl ever with her hand placed on my chest. "Can you feel this?" she asks her voice soft like a melody. I can't do anything but nod. "Do you feel the beat?" she asks again her voice like a melody making my emotions turn like a tornado. I nod again. "Do that. Live. Breath. Play enjoy live move on but never forget. Be serious but never forget fun." she says she is so wise beyond her years but also so beautiful. I can't help but nod again the words not forming and my mouth not working. She lays her head down on my chest again and I just stare at her head and soon her breathing starts to calm and I find my words. "I was never drunk I can hold my liquor." I whisper and she falls asleep. I love you (F/n).
